Origins Plantscription™ Anti-Aging Eye Treatment

The Origins Plantscription™ Anti-Aging Eye Treatment launched last October. For product details, information and availability, please prefer to my introductory post here.

I received a press sample last September and I have been trying it for the past couple of months. I have actually finished the whole tub just before new year and I think I am ready to share my thoughts about this product with you.

The Origins Plantscription™ Anti-Aging Eye Treatment retails at S$78 for 15ml of product, made in USA. This eye treatment promises to repair 4 most visible signs of eye aging, namely, reduce the appearance of crow’s feet, reduce under eye cross hatching, smooth out creepy lids and lift and firm saggy eye skin. All of that in just 4 weeks.

The product comes in a plastic tub which is light and sturdy although I would much prefer it to be in a form of tube – be it eye cream or face cream, I think that it’s easier to use in tubes and more hygienic. For creams that come in a pot, I use a spatula or a clean cotton bud to pick up the product – try to avoid using fingers or double-dip, this might contaminate the product which may cause the product to deteriorate in its effectiveness.

The eye treatment bares a very mild scent of plants, nothing overly disturbing. The texture is very lightweight, almost gel-like upon application. The consistency is firm yet creamy and smooth, I was able to apply the product effortlessly on my eyes without tugging or pulling the skin around my eye area.

First impressions I love the lightweight texture and it feels cooling and fresh upon application. Product gets absorbed into the skin relatively quickly and it doesn’t leave any sticky residue or caused my eyes to tear. The eye treatment also glides on very smoothly which made application easier and faster.

After 3 days I noticed a more supple under eye area. Under eye area seems smoother and brighter.

After 4 weeks Eye area seems brighter and more awake with lesser fine lines under my eyes.

The Overview

It’s difficult to experience its full potential as I don’t suffer from major crow’s feet nor very distinct lines under my eyes. My main concern is the under eye cross hatching which I started to notice middle of 2010. In the picture above, the “before” photo was taken in August 2011 – lightly smiling. The “after” photo was taken on Christmas eve 2011 and I was also lightly smiling.

The result is pretty amazing when I put the “before” and “after” side-by-side but at the same time, quite scary.

After using this product for almost 3 months, my under eye area looks more plump and supple. The fine lines and cross hatching under the inner corners of my eyes have also significantly reduced. I also noticed that the skin around my eye area is firmer than before.

Like all beauty related products, I guess we must be realistic with the results. In this case, I am generally quite happy with the product. It delivered what it claims. I started taking care of my eye area very late, I wish I started earlier but it’s never too late. I am glad that I had the chance to try this product and share my experiences with you here. I would also like to apologize for not able to take more pictures to show the progressive stages of this treatment. I tried my best to find two most similar photos to compare.

I would recommend this product to

It’s never too early to start any anti-aging product as it’s easier to prevent than to cure. If you have fine lines under your eyes like me, this product might help you achieve younger and brighter looking eyes. I think this product is also ideal to maintain your eye area, keeping the delicate area hydrated.

Thank you for reading, I hope the information above helped.

  1. Thanks for reviewing this cream. I’ve been looking for a good eye cream recently and dropped by the Origins store. The SA recommended the serum instead as she said it’s more potent. I have a lot of undereye wrinkles thanks to years of squinting at the computer screen. I picked up the serum together with the Eye Doctor eye cream. Can’t wait to try both of them together now that you’ve confirmed the effectiveness of the Plantscription formula.

    • I am liking their Plantscription range =)
I was given a sample size Plantscription Serum to try and I think it’s pretty good but the sample contains too little product for me to do a review..
Am thinking of buying the serum and eye treatment again!!

  2. Thanks for posting! I’m impressed with the results. I wish it contained sunscreen, a critical ingredient to begin using as early as one’s twenties. You can’t tell the difference in a year or two, but over the decades it makes a huge difference.
