Chanel is the first to launch their Harmonie de Printemps Makeup Collection For Spring 2012 this year. In fact, it was already available at Marina Bay Sands and ION end of last year – rest of the counters beginning of January.
I picked up a few items from this collection and today, I have all the three Chanel Le Vernis for you. Prices of each bottle has gone up (again). Each bottle now retails at S$37 for 13ml of product, made in France.
Chanel Le Vernis in 533 April is a deep, red plum in cream finish. A very spontaneous, seductive hue to me and I am totally in love with it. It’s young, charming and bright in a very understated way.
I did a little comparison with the plums I have and found that I actually own more roses and deep reds than plums so, please excuse my limited range of colours above. Chanel 533 April is quite a rich plum. NARS Rebal Yell looks similar in the bottle but swatches a little more brown, OPI Yucatán If U Want is rosier and more muted.
Swatches of Chanel Le Vernis in 533 April on fingers with Nail Tek Foundation II Ridge-Filling Base Coat, 2 coats of nail polish, Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. Swatches on nail wheel without any base or top coat, 2 coats of nail polish.
Chanel Le Vernis in 535 May is a bright, almost luminous cotton candy pink with a cream finish. It’s bright, brighter than I would have imagined or expected. It’s a playful and fun colour to wear especially on the toes.
I was quite surprised when I went through my collection, I don’t have any bright pinks that came close. I spent a good 30 minutes going through my nail wheels to find something similar – but what you see above is what I have. Chanel 471 Ming has more peach and shimmer in it, Rescue Beauty Lounge Smitten is lighter, less bright and more milky.
Numbering error above, should be 535 May, not 353 May.

Chanel Le Vernis in 539 June is a bright tangerine orange in cream finish. It’s very tropical and cheerful – reminds me of the bright sun and sandy shores. From past experiences with such colours, I was a little worried that the colour will make my fingers appear darker but this shade doesn’t.
I definitely don’t own a large number of orange nail polishes, so it wasn’t hard for me to say – I don’t have anything similar. What I have on the nail wheel are oranges and beiges for comparison purpose. Nothing came close, not even Illamasqua Purity which is paler and more pastel. Chanel 503 Inattendu has more beige and Chanel 307 Orange Fizz is a whole different story.

Overall, loving all three very much.
April is the most pigmented amongst all, two coats is sufficient for enough coverage. To make both May and June pop, three thin, even coats would be best. Consistency of all three nail colours are creamy and smooth like the other Chanel nail polishes I have.
I wouldn’t say all the colours are unique but if I have to choose one, it would be June.
