Make Up For Ever released a Bohemian inspired makeup collection this Spring, for more information about the collection, click here.
For the first time, MAKE UP FOR EVER presents its eyeshadows in a new shape. Six new limited edition shades in extremely pearly spring-time pastel tones. The baked powder technology ensures fine, intense color particles for eyeshadows with 50% pearly particles and a paraben-free formula.
The Make Up For Ever La Bohéme Palette retails at S$59 and contains 6 x 0.5g product, made in Italy.
Housed in a unique palette made of recyclable cardboard, it’s light and sturdy. The bold patchwork of Provençal or floral motifs, with arabesques and refined details dresses the palette – these are historical pieces that Dany Sanz brought back from her travels, cleverly selected and coordinated.
A silky ribbon opens the palette of six incredibly fresh and luminous eyeshadow shades, both sparkly and pearly.
From top left to right, we have Lagoon Green, Natural Green and Beige. Bottom left to right, we have Parma Violet, Brown and Coral.

Texture of these eyeshadows are pretty dry but not overly powdery. Although they contain mainly sparkles and shimmers, they don’t feel gritty to touch and on the eyes. I would say that the colour payoff is average when swatched dry – perhaps they are meant to be sheer for this season.
When used wet, the colours pop. The intensity and richness of each shade comes to life as you can see from the pictures above. I am particularly attracted to Parma Violet and Natural Green – love the complexity of the shimmers that glistens beautifully under the light.
However, I did experience some fall-out during application. I suggest wearing a base – eyeshadow primer or cream eyeshadow. You may also opt for a coloured base for more drama.
The Make Up For Ever La Bohéme Palette is light, handy and contains a set of wearable yet playful shades. If you are generally shy with bright colours but would like to have some fun, you may benefit from the sheer yet vibrant shades in this palette.
These colours will create a very subtle, soft, feminine and chic eye look, perfect for Spring.
