Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Skincare Powder

Hello everyone, today I would like to share my thoughts about the Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Skincare Powder. For more information about this product, please refer to the introductory post here.

Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Skincare Powder is a whitening powder enriched with m-Tranexamic Acid, this exclusive skincare step effectively reduces the appearance of dark spots, leaving skin naturally vibrant and silky smooth. Applied after moisturizer, the delicate powder spreads gently over skin, indulging with a relaxing scent and velvety soft texture.

The Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Skincare Powder is housed in a light and sturdy plastic container just like most loose powder. It doesn’t bares any scent and comes with a white powder puff – the powder puff feels extremely soft and luscious on the skin.

Texture of the skincare powder is ultra-fine and light. The powder glides onto the skin very nicely although I usually pat it. It doesn’t provide any form of coverage, the powder is almost transparent when applied but because it’s white, it does leave a white cast if applied heavily. Try to avoid the brows and eye area when applying the powder, the powder adheres to moisture/products – you don’t want white brows and lashes, right?

This skincare powder provides a very natural finish, it instantly absorbs or gets absorbed by the layers of skincare products applied before hand – leaving the skin looking almost matte.

First impressions Very impressed with how smooth and velvety it feels on the skin and how the powder actually “sets” my skincare – like setting my foundation with loose powder. My face stayed “matte” throughout the night and I wake up the next morning looking fresh.

After 3 days Had no break-outs.

After 8 weeks I am not sure if it’s the brightening powder or the series of whitening products I have been using but I noticed that my skin is visibly brighter.

The Overview

The first time I used this powder, I applied too much making my face look really white – from the second night onwards, I applied a very thin layer and it looks perfectly fine. Like I mentioned, I wasn’t sure if it’s the brightening powder or whitening products that made my skin appear brighter so I can’t conclude on how effective this product is on its own.

But I have enjoyed using the brightening powder a lot in the past 2 months. I complete my nightly skincare routine by using this powder to help seal in the goodness of my skincare regime.

I would recommend this product to

Everyone. If you have oily/combination skin types and your skin gets shiny or oily looking after applying your skincare, I think this brightening powder will help mattify your skin until the very next morning. I think this product is also a great gift because it’s so versatile. One can use it to set skincare products, sunscreen and more.

This product is recommended for all skin types and targets persistent spots where over-active melanocytes continuously produce excess melanin. The Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Skincare Powder contains Radiance Maximizing Powder controls surrounding lights, promoting a naturally clear and vibrant complexion. It is also developed with Hydro-Synergy Complex which supplies moisture.

Do you think you will pick one up?

Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Skincare Powder will be available island-wide on White Day 14 March 2012 and it will be priced the same as last year, at S$75 for 25g of product, made in Japan.

Thank you for reading.
