—————————————-

Are you excited? I know I am extremely thrilled with the news that Giorgio Armani has made its way to Singapore. Oh my goodness – this is insane!! Year 2012 is just crazy – with so many brands arriving in Singapore. Laura Mercier now available at Sephora, BECCA is here, Tom Ford and NARS will be joining in end of the year too.

And I am so glad that DFS Galleria Singapore has revamped their Beauty Hall (I mean, from a beauty fanatic’s point of view – it’s an excellent move).

I have not checked out the newly revamped Beauty Hall yet – work and all have kept me pretty occupied lately. If you have, please share your experiences with me, so I can feel the space too.

Thank you for reading.

  1. Most exciting news in the first half of 2012.
Can’t wait for the second half too when nars and Tom ford comes in.
Am I greedy ? But I’m also crossing my fingers for Edward bess and le métier.
How exciting if these brands enter Singapore too.

      • oh yes please. I love Suqqu too. As for Addiction, my current stash doesn’t warrant a addiction for me yet. But if Kose decides to bring it in, i might indeed get addicted. Don’t think it will happen though. We don’t even have Jill Stuart here. Somehow Kose here don’t portray a proactive market stance.

        • Hi Risa,
LOL, I haven’t got any Addiction in my stash either to be totally addicted to but I really don’t mind..
I guess it will take some time but don’t give up hope because there are so many brands coming in and these cosmetics giant sure see value in Singapore – making Singapore an ultimate beauty hub in the future =)
May we have the most comprehensive beauty halls in Orchard xoxo

  2. I am so happy for you to be receiving Armani, La Mer, Bobbi Brown etc. in this gorgeous new store!!!! A makeup and skincare lover’s paradise! Warm up those charge cards and have a wonderful time splurging and pampering yourself! Life is short, ladies so treat yourself right and get what makes you feel glorious! Aren’t we lucky that we are female!

    • Hi Mimi,
LOL.. It’s exciting isn’t it to have new brands arriving!!
I haven’t got the time to check out this mall yet – perhaps I am still warming up my credit card right now =)
Agree with everything you have said..

  3. I am writing to report a stealing incident happened at the DFS Bali Airport shop 504.
I bought a Lancome gift set which consists of 2 Lancome products (eye cream and essence) plus a free gift (3 miniature perfumes and a purse). A Sales person (Salesman ID: 2522 Elis) , who served me, advised me that with the price of US $127, it comes with everything in the Lancome shopping back. So I bought this gift set as she recommended.

When I paid for the goods, she took everything out from the gift back and rearranged them so they can go into the bag neatly. She opened up the purse and put 3 miniature perfumes in the purse. (I saw this with my eyes and I counted that there were 3 perfumes gone into the purse.) I thought myself to give each perfume to 3 of my friends. The sales person asked me to pick it up at the gate so I did not see the end of packing and left the counter.

However, when I opened the purse last night, there was only one perfume bottle in the purse. I was very upset as the sales person stole 2 of perfumes from me. As whole set was sealed with Duty free plastic bag, there is no chance that I have dropped them somewhere. This is serious criminal convict that DFS staff stole the product from the customer and the company should investigate this further, so it won’t happen again for the other customers. Not only ruining your company reputation but also the reputation of Bali has damaged.

As I was not sure where to report this, I sent an email to few stores from the website. Then, I received the following short email from DFS client service team.

    Dear Mr. Kim
I already wrote to Bali DFS to investigate it, thank you for your information.
There was not necessary to send to every DFS location, we will follow-up your case.
    Thanks.
    With Regards, Mulder Tsui

I reported this incident on the 4th of May. However, I have not received any clear explanation of this incident (Today is the 8th of May). I am not sure why this has not been followed up properly (I guess they just want me to go away!) but this is a huge disappointment that such a big international company is not listening to its customers.

Personally, I would not go back to this store obviously they do not even care about the stealing incident happened in their shop by their own staff. Personally, I am warning you to keep eyes on your goods if you decided to buy something from this irresponsible shop as you might be in the same situation that I am in now.

    • Hi dear,
I am so sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience in Bali..
And thank you for letting me and my readers know..
However, I believe DFS Bali and DFS Singapore are under a different management team?
P/s I hope you will get a reply from the relevant parties soon..
      xx

  4. I am glad that Hwan Kyoung Kim has told us all about what happened to her at this shop. This kind of thing can happen in any country so there’s no shame to Bali but it’s good to know what can happen at the airport. They know you are not going to check your item as you get on the plane, at any rate, it would be too late to deal with it as you would miss your flight. Really crummy thing to do to someone! Shame on them. I hope that they replace her missing perfumes or at least refund her money and let her keep the rest of the set for free. Maybe she should tell them that this information has gone out on an international blog and now people all over the world know of what goes on in this shop so when they travel they will know to avoid it.
