Hello everyone, by now, I am sure you all are no stranger to the current trend of “beauty boxes”. For a monthly subscription fee of between S$15 – S$25, a box containing at least 5 products will be delivered to your doorstep. Today, I have The April Bellabox for you.

Bellabox was started by a group of young women who love buying beauty products and looking good but were sick of the hassle of going to department stores every time they wanted to try out a new moisturizer, eyeliner or fragrant.

They were also sick of buyer’s remorse and always feeling like they were six months behind the latest trends.

By filling out a personal profile, the team at Bellabox hand-picks the latest, deluxe beauty products and sends them straight to your door each month. Bellabox has links with all the top cosmetics companies from London to New York and Paris giving you access to the hottest products to hit the market.

Each Bellabox contains 5 carefully selected products, ranging from the newest lipgloss to high-end shampoos, makeup, new product innovations and much more.

The April Bellabox focuses mainly on a journey of perfection and flawless beauty. Here is a list of what’s included;-

The Overview

I am not sure if it’s due the current trend or these kind of beauty subscription boxes will remain active in another year or two – but I do see value in these boxes.

A couple of things I like about Bellabox;-

• They partnered with a handful of brands I like and would like to try their products, for instance, Ahvana, Aveda, Belif, Benefit, Dermalogica, Enavose, Eylure, Korres, Laura Mercier and Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics.
• For a person like me, who shops quite frequently and loves to explore new products, it’s still impossible to try every brand, every item so this service comes in particularly handy – like the Sample Testing Series I run on this blog.
• One very convenient fact about Bellabox is – if I like the product after trying it out, I can simply purchase it directly from their website, simple and fuss-free.
• Comes in a beautiful, sturdy pink box which I can recycle as extra storage or as a gift box.
• I also like the leaflets that comes together in the box – definition, tips and product information are good reads before bed.

I am generally very happy with the items found in The April Bellabox. They are items I will use and isn’t the foundation sample adorable? I have not tried if the shade matches my skin tone yet, I got it in Honey “I’m so money”.

If you are a person who constantly seeks to explore new brands and/or new products, you will find Bellabox extremely helpful as it allows you to try before you buy. Good and bad, you don’t get to select the items – it’s like a surprise of what you are going to get each month.

If you are a very particular person who doesn’t like to try products, receive samples or you are very selective of what you use, steer away from such services.

A few things to note before committing to any beauty subscription boxes;-

• First, you got to be comfortable with the monthly subscription fee – be it S$15 or S$25, the price shouldn’t be a burden to you.
• Check out which brands the company partners with – there should be at least 5 or 6 brands that interests you.
• Read their terms and conditions carefully before making any payment – check their termination policies.

Lastly, have an open mind, enjoy what comes in the box for you each month.
