That’s Me In Female

Not on the front cover, of course. But yes, I was featured in the Female magazine last month as one of the three BEAUTY COLLECTORS.

It all started when I received an email from Natasha, a very beautiful beauty editor from Female. At the very beginning, I was quite shy as I didn’t know what sort of story this article was about. Although I may seem to be but I really don’t want people to read this article and think that I am some kind of crazy woman addicted to buying makeup.

With this blog, I am sure you all know I am not, right?

This feature mainly focuses on three aspects of beauty – makeup, skincare and fragrance.

No doubt, I am contributing towards the makeup department. Audrey Koh, a properly consultant shared her latest skincare findings while Jessica Neo, a sales & marketing manager provided some tips on how we should store our fragrances.

This was a very exciting experience for me, having the photographer and fine ladies from Female come over to my house for the photo-shoot. It was fun and I enjoyed the entire process – from the multiple interviews to waiting for this copy of Female to be published. I honestly didn’t know what to expect.

I also had no idea which picture they were going to choose but the ladies made this photography session absolutely enjoyable. They were all very friendly and the photographer gave me a few tips and tricks on how to take pictures of products for the blog.

Thank you ladies!!

During the photo-shoot, I was very stiff and tense in front of the camera – well, the photographer’s camera. I couldn’t pose naturally and I didn’t know how to – I totally understand the pain of being a model, most of the poses may look comfortable but I know they are not. Even those as simple as sitting down or standing up.

A simple look for the photo-shoot that day. I didn’t want anything too dramatic, I thought something soft and light will go well with my outfit and the setting. Below is a list of some items I used;-

  • Giorgio Armani Light Master Makeup Primer
  • Giorgio Armani Designer Lift Smoothing Firming Foundation
  • Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk UV Compact Foundation
  • Chanel Les 4 Ombres in 81 Beiges Velours
  • Chanel Joues Contraste in 99 Rose Pétale
  • Rouge Bunny Rouge Original Skin Blush in Habanera
  • Ettusais Lip Essence
  • NARS Lipstick in Dolce Vita
  • Chanel Le Vernis in Rose Caché

Lastly, I would like to thank Female magazine for featuring this story, the ladies who came over and the lady who wrote this story. It was fabulous meeting all of you.

Thank you for reading, have a great day ahead.

  1. Wow, you look gorgeous in Female! What an exciting time for you 🙂 I am really jealous of your makeup drawer. I need something similar as my collection is just too cluttered.

Spreading my makeup and organizing them in trays gives me a better picture of what I have so I can use them more!!

That was a nice article. I think it’s important that we have a hobby or something we’re passionate about. To some people it’s making models or collecting miniatures and to you it’s make-up. I’ve always liked how detailed you are when it comes to picking out products and how careful you are about using them.

  6. Wow! What a mindblowing article and I love your article the most (of course because I am crazy about makeup). Your collection is stunning and I love the way you organised it all. Could you please show us more?

If anything, my boyfriend thinks I have too much makeup… (when I don’t… no, in fact I really do). My problem is I never get to use everything because I forget what I have!
