As an official sponsor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim, MAKE UP FOR EVER has unveiled yet again its new AQUA products for a sneak preview in Miami.

Aqua Shadow took its test dive during the Miami fashion shows, jumping right into the deep end, in the extreme backstage conditions of heat and humidity and with the most up-to-the-minute trends. Mission accomplished for the latest additions to the AQUA range, which were quickly snatched up and adored by the makeup artists on location.

HOW TO GET THE LOOK – BLENDED

• Step 1
  • Application: Apply Aqua Shadow 22E pencil from the inner corner to the middle of the upper eyelid.
  • Tip: If the eyelid is oily, to achieve a longer hold, apply Eye Prime or a veil of powder before Aqua Shadow.
  • Products used: Aqua Shadow 22E.
• Step 2
  • Application: Apply  Aqua Shadow 2E from the outer corner to the middle of the eyelid.
  • Products used: Aqua Shadow 2E.
• Step 3
  • Application: Blend the two colors together using the Brush 14S with forward and backward movements from the outer corner toward the inner corner of the eye. The colors must be blended into the skin, slightly above the eyelid crease. Blend quickly before the texture dries.
  • Tip: For a more sophisticated effect, apply Diamond Powder over the Aqua Shadows before the texture dries so that it can adhere more easily.
  • Products used: Brush 14S.
• Step 4
  • Application: For a highlighting effect, apply Aqua Shadow 28E to the inner corner of the eye, then blend in the color using the Brush 5N.
  • Products used: Aqua Shadow 28E / Brush 5N.
• Step 5
  • Application: Apply the same color on the brow bone to highlight. Then blend in with the Brush 5N.
  • Products used: Aqua Shadow 28E / Brush 5N.
• Step 6
  • Application: Draw a line along the upper lashes using  Aqua Eyes 2L, not forgetting to apply color between the lashes for maximum intensity (for a softer result, blend the Aqua Eyes pencil using the brush 2S).
  • Tip: For a more sophisticated look, draw a line along the lower lashes and color the waterline.
  • Products used: Aqua Eyes 2L / Brush 2S.
• Step 7
  • Application: Apply Aqua Smoky Lash mascara. For an intense result, repeat the application.
  • Tip: Comb the eyebrows using an eyelash brush to perfect the makeup result.
  • Products used: Mascara Aqua Smoky Lash / Eyelash brush.

The BLENDED look is suitable for work or you can pair these eyes with a bolder lip for an evening red carpet look. Effordlessly glamourous.

HOW TO GET THE LOOK – VISUAL

• Step 1 
  • Application: Apply Aqua Shadow 28E Beige directly onto the upper eyelid starting from the lash line and working up to the brow bone to create a highlighting effect.
  • Tip: Apply the pencil to the closed eyelid and wait for the texture to dry before opening the eye.
  • Products used: Aqua Shadow 28E.
• Step 2
  • Application: Apply Aqua Shadow 20E Taupe to the crease of the eyelid without defining the outer corner (open banana) and then blend it toward the top using the Brush 14S with forward and backward movements from the outer corner to the inner corner of the eye. Blend quickly before the texture dries.
  • Tip: In order to find the right place to apply the product, look straight ahead and mark the folds using the eye pencil. Then close the eyes and draw in the eyelid crease in a half-moon shape.
  • Products used: Aqua Shadow 20E / Brush 14S.
• Step 3 
  • Application: Draw along the upper lash line with Aqua Shadow 6E Navy Blue, making sure that the lead is well sharpened. Then blend in the color using the Brush 2S starting from the outer corner working toward the inner corner to achieve a smoky finish. Do not forget to apply color between the lashes for maximum intensity.
  • Tip: For a finer line and wider color selection, use Aqua Eyes.
  • Products used: Aqua Shadow 6E / Brush 2S.
• Step 4 
  • Application: Draw along the lower lash line and color in the rim for a more intense result.
  • Products used: Aqua Shadow 6E / Brush 2S.
• Step 5 
  • Application: Finish by applying Aqua Smoky Lash mascara. For an intense result, repeat the application.
  • Tip: Comb the eyebrows using an eyelash brush to perfect the makeup result.
  • Products used: Mascara Aqua Smoky Lash / Eyelash brush.

The VISUAL look is sharp and crisp, if you want to add a pop of hue for some attention, this is the look. Playful summer brights.

HOW TO GET THE LOOK – SMOKY

• Step 1 
  • Application: Apply a thick line of Aqua Shadow 0E pencil along the upper lash line, starting from the inner corner and working toward the outer corner. Do not forget to apply the color between the lashes and on the inner rim for maximum intensity.
  • Tip: Select the eye contour cream carefully, because a texture that is too oily may make application difficult and reduce the hold of the product.
  • Products used: Aqua Shadow 0E.
• Step 2 
  • Application: Blend quickly upward using the fingertip in the crease of the eyelids, using forward and backward sweeping movements from the outer corner to the inner corner. Make sure to finish before the texture is dry.
• Step 3 
  • Application:  Blend quickly upward toward the crease of the eyelid, using forward and backward sweeping movements from the outer corner to the inner corner using the Brush 14S. Make sure to finish before the texture is dry.
  • Products used: Brushes 5N or 14S.
• Step 4
  • Application: Apply a line of Aqua Shadow 30E juxtaposed with Aqua Shadow 0E and blend the colors together using the Brush 14S. Ensure that the two colors are well blended. Apply Aqua Shadow 30E to the brow bone for a highlight effect. Then blend in using the Brush 5N.
  • Tip: To intensify the makeup, apply Eye Shadows or Star Powders to the shadow filed.
  • Products used: Aqua Shadow 30E  / Brushes 14S or 5N.
• Step 5 
  • Application: Apply Aqua Shadow 0E to the inner rim to add depth to the eyes. Draw a line along the lower lashes, starting in the outer corner and working toward the inner corner, blend downward using the Brush 2S.
  • Tip: To achieve a finer line or to achieve a very wide range of colors, apply Aqua Eyes pencils.
  • Products used: Aqua Shadow 0E  / Brush 2S.
• Step 6 
  • Application: Finish with a generous application of Aqua Smoky Lash mascara. For an intense result, repeat the application.
  • Tip: For an intense look, fix on false eyelashes before applying the mascara.
  • Products used: Mascara Aqua Smoky Lash.
