Hello everyone, yet another month has gone by – nonetheless, I have another set of my 5 all time favourites for you today. I remember starting this series of favourites exactly 2 years ago – I hope you have enjoyed them.
DIOR Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm is one of my favourite lip items this month. I am loving it and I use it almost everyday. According to Dior, this sheer lip balm “responds to the colour chemistry of your own lips to create a shade uniquely yours”. Yes, it does. It applies sheer, almost transparent but changes into a delicious, healthy, fresh pink colour on my lips.
It is said to “moisturize, sun protection and enhance your own natural lip color instead of hiding it”.
It contains SPF 10, mildly scented and comes in a translucent pink cap, just like the Dior Addict Lipstick and Dior Addict EXTREME – ultra chic and portable. Texture is smooth and glides onto my lips effortlessly, it feels light and comfortable all day, neither too sticky nor drying.
A sample of Maison Francis Kurkdjian APOM pour femme was included in The April Bellabox and I am completely addicted to this scent.
APOM is a contraction of “A Peice of Me”, a bit of oneself that one leaves on others. An inspiration that came from the beauty of men and women, from the harmonious colors and flavors of Middle East. Notes include: Orange Flower, Cedar Wood, Ylang-Ylang Flower.
I have received multiple compliments when wearing this scent – I am going to purchase it full size soon because the sample is running out. I usually apply it to both my wrists and back of my neck – stays on all day and night.
Remember my visit to the newly revamped DFS Galleria Singapore a while ago? The BA recommended Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado for my dry under eye area. Tried it during the mini facial massage, loved it and bought it.
Have been using it for about 2 weeks now and I really like it. The special thing about this eye cream is – it feels creamy and looks creamy in the pot but as your massage it, the product breaks-down and becomes soluble. So, what I usually do is – I use a spatula to pick up the product, massage the product with both my ring fingers and pat it onto my under eye area. Because the product breaks-down, it gets absorbed very easily and quickly.
I enjoy using this during the day, under my makeup – I did not experience any creasing nor fading of foundation + concealer under my eye area. My eye area feels instantly hydrated. Shall monitor the progress of this product, if possible, I shall update with a more detailed entry.
Next, I have two blushers from Givenchy – Givenchy Blush Bucolique in 1 Bucolic Rose and 2 Bucolic Poppy. These two blushers are the perfect partner for subtle glowing cheeks with a pop of colour. I use Bucolic Rose as a highlight and Bucolic Poppy on the apples of my cheeks. Beautiful combination.
Last but not least, I must share my experiences with my newly purchased Clarisonic Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System. It’s not exactly very new, I bought it last month, on my birthday at local Sephora – thus mine is the boring white colour one. Personally, I would love to have either lavender, blue or pink colour, oh well.
So, it took me a long, long time to decide buying a Clarisonic. Initially, I couldn’t decide if I should get it online or buy it directly from Sephora. Then I couldn’t decide if I should get the Mia or Plus. Every time I visit Sephora, I will go to the Clarisonic counter to play with it.
Thing is, I am not a very gadget person – I tend to get bored with using any devices (except hair dryer and straightener). I have also asked many Clarisonic users for their feedbacks, check online reviews and YouTube videos.
After using it for 1.5 months, I asked myself, why didn’t I get it earlier? This is by far – the best investment I have made, gadget wise.
I look forward to using it every single day. It makes my skin appear clean. even I have sensitive skin, it didn’t cause any breakouts nor redness. This device seems to keep black heads and white heads at bay. My sister, Mak, friends and even my facial therapist have noticed the subtle glow and how my skin looks smoother.
NOTE: Having Clarisonic Mia is totally subjective and personal. I would recommend you to try but there’s no guarantee you will like it – some people I spoke to didn’t think it worked. There are many positive reviews online – bottom line, I love it.
A few things about the Clarisonic Mia;-
I wish it came with some form of warning before the 60 seconds is up. The first time I used it, when the time is up, it shuts off – in my mind, I was thinking “what? has it been 1 minute already?”
I like that it is totally waterproof, I use it every morning and night in the shower or bath.
Impressed with the magnetic charging method (totally new to me).
I wish that it takes a shorter time to charge.
If I exfoliate with a facial scrub, I skip using the Clarisonic, I don’t want to over-work my skin.
I use my Clarisonic Mia with Dr GL® Cleanser (Sensitive).
Schedule have been extremely tight recently, haven’t had the opportunity to take pictures of my recent shoppings – there are many products I have been trying and hoping to review. Please allow some time for me to gather my thoughts on them before sharing with you.
Thank you for your patience, there have been way to many information I would like to share – hope you are not too bored with them.
Have an awesome month ahead. Thank you for reading.
