Similar to the previous entry, this post features three Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural I currently have in my stash.
The Rouge Artist Natural is a new extension to their existing Rouge Artist Intense. The line up consists of 50 luminous shades. These lipsticks have an ultra creamy formula that hydrates the lips with a natural sheen. Enriched with a cocktail of vegetal ingredients, made of waxes and Cupuassu Butter, it contains nourishing properties for a moisturizing smoothing texture that glides on effortlessly. Its translucent shine reveals pure pearls and pigments.
And these are the shades;-
-
Folk* – released as part of La Bohéme Makeup Collection For Spring 2012, a coral-red with micro-shimmers
-
Water Melon N41 – a fresh mid-tone coral
-
Nude Beige N5* – soft, nude brown-beige
Swatches below are swatched according to the shades mentioned above. Taken under natural sunlight, without flash.
Texture of these lipsticks are soft, creamy and silky – glides onto the lips effortlessly and provides a sheer, translucent veil of colour. Out of the 50 shades, some are noticeably more sheer than the others like Iridescent Nude N1 and Iridescent Icy Coral N37 to name a few. They also have a natural glowy finish.
Some of the shades from Diamond range contains micro-shimmers that glistens under strong lighting.
Overall, I like these lipsticks but not love just because I am usually more drawn towards highly pigmented formulas.
The Rouge Artist Natural makes excellent everyday lipsticks on-the-go. Pick a shade, apply and leave home. Very fuss-free. If you are colour-shy and would like to try something out-of-the-box but nothing over the top, this range of lipsticks might be your answer.
The texture and finish are adorable. Very natural and work-friendly.
The formula is also easy to apply. Doesn’t dry my lips, these feels extremely light on the lips and I find them more hydrating as compared to the Rouge Artist Intense. I can see myself picking up Red Brick N47 soon when I pop by the academy.

Yes, with more pigmented lip colours, we can always tone it down!!

That’s a lovely shade, I love it and it seems to go with anything =)
Yeah I love nudey beige shades.
Watermelon looks really nice on and surprisingly the color didn’t pull too coral (in a good way!).
