Guerlain Météorites Perles d’Azur Illuminating Powder

Another product I picked up from Guerlain x Pucci Summer Collection is this stunning Météorites Perles d’Azur Illuminating Powder. Retailing at S$81 for 30g of product, made in France – this collection is readily available at all local Guerlain counters.

Speaking of the blue pearls, aren’t they simply irresistible?

In a nod to Pucci shades, the Perles d’Azur are being enriched with a corrective blue pearl and beautifully adapt to the demands of the sun.

The idea? Three targeted and instant benefits to create a summer glow, thanks to the combination of six colours that even out and correct every skin tone, with a de rigueur ultra-luminous and delicately translucent result. Already tanned skin is subtly set off with a fine complexion-enhancing and imperceptible veil.

Their incredibly stylish round case is adorned with the Pucci print in contrasting colours with a graphic motif.

Believe it or not, this is actually my first full-size météorites perles. I have them in either travel-sizes or in pressed forms – I am not sure why I never picked up any before though I can clearly remember they are all very, very beautiful in terms of their packaging as well as what’s inside.

Gorgeously housed in a Pucci printed graphic motif metal tin, contains the magical pearls which smells heavenly. And I think I must blame the blue pearls for this purchase.

I am sure many of you have read enough about this product and probably own a piece of it (either from this collection or previous ones) so I am not going to go into much details.

What I do is, I dip a fluffy brush – like the bareMinerals Full Flawless Face brush or Chanel Kabuki into the pot and swirl it around, ideally picking up all shades and dust it all over my face for an illuminating effect. For a more subtle look, you can use it along the cheek bones instead of the entire face.

A little goes a long way, I can’t imagine me finishing this pot of pearls – well, with the amount of face products we all have, it’s quite difficult to finish anything isn’t it?

Although this set contains a small amount of sparkling bits, the overall effect is not too overwhelming – it gives a nice and soft sheen suitable for day and night. Depending on the angle, you may be able to catch the larger sparkling bits. Texture of the pearls are very fine and soft to touch, feels extremely light on the skin.

I am enjoying the Guerlain Météorites Perles d’Azur Illuminating Powder as a finishing powder after I set my foundation with loose powder. If I am using this, I will skip using a highlighter to avoid looking greasy or too shiny.

Bottom line, a must have for the blue pearls.

Thank you for reading.

  1. ‘well, with the amount of face products we all have, it’s quite difficult to finish anything isn’t it?’ hahaha babe, you mean yourself only and a few other makeup bloggers? =p but anyway, i would love to see you do some use-it-up posts every now and then 😀

    • Hi Ashlyne,
I suppose running this blog requires me to try lots of new products thus it’s really quite difficult to finish anything – especially makeup items!!
Besides makeup items, I finish lots of makeup removers, skincare and bodycare products =)
And I always throw the empties away immediately so I don’t think you will be seeing any use-it-up entries soon..
