Today’s look is more dramatic, featuring two colours from the newly released Make Up For Ever Aqua Shadow.

This smoky blue eye look is great for parties and will look particularly sharp in pictures – especially in flash photography. With these crayons, this look can be achieved easily and quickly – under 30 mins from start to finish.

Face
Since this is more of an evening look, I went for a foundation that provides more coverage to achieve an even and flawless canvas to work on. Nothing too dewy, semi-matte finish with a radiant glow is perfect.

• Prep face with a primer to add radiance to skin.
• Apply foundation to even up skin tone.
• Set center of the face with a pale pink loose powder – this will help brighten up the under eye area, T-zone and chin.
• Set rest of the face with loose powder or lightly dust some press powder to set with a big, fluffy brush.

Eyes
Dramatic blue – you can always change the base colour to green, brown or simply black to create a different look to suit your personall preference.

• Prep lids with an eyeshadow primer to prevent eyeshadows from creasing and fading.
• Apply Make Up For Ever Aqua Shadow in 6E Matte Navy Blue all over lids and blend to soften edges.
• Tight line upper lash line with Make Up For Ever Aqua Shadow in 0E Matte Black.
• Apply Make Up For Ever Aqua Shadow in 0E Matte Black along the upper lids and soften edges by blending.
• Use Make Up For Ever Aqua Shadow in 0E Matte Black to darken the outer corners of your crease – this will help deepen your eyes, making them look more define.
• Use any semi-matte or matte navy blue eyeshadow to set the outer corners of the eyes.
• Lightly dust a small amount of shimmery aqua blue eyeshadow to the inner corners of the eyes.
• Use any semi-matte or matte cream/vanilla eyeshadow under your brows and blend together with the blue to bring the eyeshadows together.
• Apply Make Up For Ever Aqua Shadow in 6E Matte Navy Blue along the entire lower lash line and blend to soften edges.
• Apply Make Up For Ever Aqua Shadow in 0E Matte Black to the outer 2/3 of the lower lash line and blend.
• Set outer 2/3 of lower lash line with the same semi-matte or matte navy blue eyeshadow.
• Set inner 1/3 of lower lash line with the same shimmery aqua blue eyeshadow.
• Apply mascara and some false eyelashes.

Cheeks
For such a dramatic eye look, I always pair with simple cheeks to add a hint of colour and sculpt the face.

• Use a big, fluffy brush to pick up the bronzer from Guerlain Terra Azzurra Bronzing Powder & Blush – apply bronzer to the outer edges of your face and cheek bones.
• Use a smaller brush to pick up the orange, pink and beige from Guerlain Terra Azzurra Bronzing Powder & Blush – apply lightly on the cheek bones and blend inwards.

Lips
Initially, I wanted to go for a really pale nude lip colour but I don’t think it will suit me so I went for a nude pink-brown instead. If you can carry off a pale nude, I think it will be fantastic for this look too.

• Prep lips with lip balm/primer/lip essence.
• Use a lip pencil to shape your lips – I have chosen a lip liner that’s a tone deeper to create fuller looking lips.
• Apply a nude pink-brown lip colour to complete this look.
