Good day everyone, in this post, I will be sharing my thoughts about the Ettusais BB Mineral Cream and BB Mineral Powder.
The BB Mineral Cream retails at S$38 for 40g of product, made in Japan. Available in 3 shades and I am using the darkest shade in 30 Healthy. The BB Mineral Powder also retails at S$38 fo 10g of product, also made in Japan. Available in 2 shades, I am using Light Beige.
Below are some information extracted from the Ettusais website.

Love it because it covers, spreads easily and is so lightweight yet it works hard to keep to your skin baby soft. It also contains 6 different kinds of moisturizing ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid and Glycerin, while also preventing acne with our star ingredient, AC-Control Oil. Contains SPF 30 PA ++.

I find the BB Mineral Cream to be;-
-
Lightweight – doesn’t feel heavy on my skin
-
Smooth and silky in texture
-
The creamy consistency makes blending a breeze
-
Provides light-medium coverage, enough to even out skin tone
-
Gives a natural and semi-matte finish
-
Comes in a light and handy plastic tube
-
Lasts for the entire day with blotting every few hours
-
Easy to use and apply
I have been using the BB cream since last year and I remember I was really impressed with the coverage. This BB cream is able to smooth out my open pores (around my nose and cheeks), evens out my skin tone and conceal blemishes yet it feels really light on the skin.
Texture of this BB cream feels luxe, silky and smooth. Not much blending required – I usually use my fingers if not my realTechniques Buffing Brush for application.
I use this BB cream as a replacement to my foundation. I think it provides enough coverage on its own to totally skip foundation. But occasionally, depending on my skin’s condition, I might need some concealer to conceal certain flaws.
This BB cream also help to smooth out my skin’s texture, making my skin appear velvety smooth with a remarkably pore-less results.
The packaging is pretty convenient to travel with and it allows me to control and squeeze out an appropriate amount of product each time. A little goes a long way – on good-skin-days, I only use a tiny amount on the center of my face and cheeks to conceal redness and pores.
I find the BB Mineral Powder to be;-
-
Very finely milled
-
Smooth and ultra soft to touch
-
Provides sheer-light coverage on its own
-
Gives a natural and semi-matte finish
-
Comes in a light plastic tub with sifter and powder puff
As you all know, I am much of a pairing freak when it comes to my base products. I always pair the BB cream with its BB powder.
The BB powder alone, provides a certain degree of coverage. On extremely lazy days, I apply only the BB powder to even up my skin tone after applying my sun screen. This BB powder is very fine, adheres to the skin very nicely – makes my skin look naturally healthy.
However, I feel that wearing the BB powder alone didn’t provide lasting results as compared to pairing it with the BB cream. By the 5th hour, even in air-conditioned environment, there is merely any powder left around my T-zone area. Due to this, I only wear the BB powder alone when I run quick errands.
In the set of pictures above, I am wearing only the BB cream + BB powder with no concealer. Together, they provide decent coverage for me, for a simple outing. This combination is also very photo friendly.
Below is a set of pictures taken 7 hours after, when I reached home at night. I am sorry about the flash and lighting condition, it was quite late and I was really tired. Hope the pictures justify the lasting power of this combination. From 4pm to 11pm, I only blotted once – without touching up.
The flash made it seems a little shiny but it looks alright in real life. After 7 hours, it’s starting to wear off but it still looks pretty fresh. And the oil-control is pretty impressive.
The Overview
Together, the BB Mineral Cream and BB Mineral Powder makes a great couple for soft, natural, smooth and perfect-looking skin that lasts throughout the day.
Personally, I am very impressed with the quality and longevity this duo provides. Even on a hot and humid day, they lasted throughout an outdoor event. When I use this pair, I usually skip using any primer unless I want a more radiant/dewy finish. The BB cream provides sufficient properties to even out my skin’s texture and conceal pores – I feel that there’s no need for an extra step.
The BB cream alone has a very slight powdery touch to it after settling on the skin. If you are residing in a cooler country, you might not even need to set with powder.
I would recommend this product to
If you have combination skin, I think they are great products to try – not to mention they are priced at a very affordable and reasonable price point. Even though this duo offers a semi-matte finish, they are not drying and I didn’t experience any break outs when wearing them.
If you are looking for something that feels lightweight, looks natural, able to conceal pores, evens out skin tone and smoothen out your skin plus a fuss-free application, you will enjoy them without a doubt.
The couple also stays fresh throughout the day (with blotting in between) which is amazing for Singapore’s weather. No caking nor blotchiness occurred.

I love it..
is this light for NC30 skin tone?
Hi Karen,
I haven’t got a MAC foundie match in ages but I believe I am a NC25..
Best to try it in person if you can but if you can’t, I think it may work =)
You can use a matching or slightly darker loose powder to even up if the BB cream is too light xx
