A Box Of Makeup & A Little Tango

I was in Taiwan beginning of the month for a couple of days when Typhoon Saolo struck. I remember the last time I was in Taiwan, it was earthquake, hmm.. So, it was raining non-stop and it’s pretty impossible to go anywhere, the wind was strong and it’s better to stay indoors.

And so I did – to shop.

The hotel I stayed at is just a few minutes away from Shin Kong Mitsukoshi (新光三越) and I was there for a couple of hours and ended up with a small box of makeup.

The box includes items from Laura Mercier, Anna Sui, Chanel, YSL and NARS which I will eventually finish featuring them on this blog.

It’s really nice to have lots of time to shop for makeup, I could go round and round, take my time to decide etc. Unlike in Singapore, I usually rush for time, I zoomed in and zoomed out without spending proper time at any particular counter learning their products. With that being said, I love the customer services in Taiwan – the girls are so nice.

A little shout out for those who likes or wants to explore Philosophy, it’s now available at DFS Changi Airport Terminal 3 (after customs) – I am not sure about the prices tho.

Flying home from Taiwan was very scary. My flight got rescheduled to 5 hours later due to the weather condition – while I was sitting in the plane, looking out the window made me shiver. Fingers crossed, I landed safely.

Earlier this month, Make Up For Ever launched a range of makeup collection inspired by the tango dancers. During the event, Liza demonstrated on how smoky eyes can be created by just using the Black Tango Palette. The model is a real tango dancer FYI.

Make Up For Ever also launched a range of high-gloss lip creams called the Aqua Rouge – they are amazingly long-lasting, I swear, once you got it on, it’s hard to remove – imagine red lips that stays throughout a dinner and throughout the night, no touch-ups, no fading and no bleeding.

Or imagine nude lips that stays throughout a meal or a drink. Isn’t fantastic?

Hi Jacqueline!!

Finally managed to meet up with Jacqueline again. You wouldn’t believe, the first time we met was in the changing room at some gym – both without makeup, sweaty and all.

And with the usual suspects, Chantana, Kas and Shirleen.

Thank you for looking.
