Hello Everyone

Morning Monday, how’s everyone doing? I feel strange each time I take a “break” from blogging – it took my quite some time to type this entry as I don’t know where to start and which picture should go first. Have decided on the smiley latte and pancake breakfast meal – I hope they will take away some of your Monday blues.

Lots have happened during the past couple of weeks and I am still playing catch-ups. Doesn’t help as I was away for a week – end of last month and I will be away again this weekend.

While I am trying my best to keep everything in order (I have so much to share), I shall leave you with 20 pictures from my Instagram. I love Instagram, the filters make every photo look perfect and may I add – delicious. I have the habit of scrolling through my feed before bed and the lovely peeps I follow have so many gorgeous pictures of food – often makes me hungry, not a good idea in the middle of the night.

Speaking of food, I have a couple for you – from Wild Honey, Cedele and Antoinette.

Wild Honey is all about beautiful breakfast and all my visits left me wanting more. Pictured above is the Canadian Breakfast :: Classic stack of three old-fashioned pancakes served with Canadian back bacon, wild forest berry compote and imported Canadian maple syrup.

Absolutely delicious – the pancakes are twice the thickness of McDonald’s, ultra-filling.

When I am at the other end of town, I like to visit Cedele for a quick-lunch and their Chicken & Walnut Salad :: Roast chicken with garden greens, sunflower seeds, walnuts, tomatoes and honey mustard dressing = delicious.

Remember the Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire event I attended? I went back for lunch with my sister last week and I tried their Prawn Crumble :: Spaghettini cooked alio olio style with fresh prawns, anchovy crumble and parsley pesto.

Not as good as their Morel Mushroom but the prawns are definitely fresh – for prawn lovers I say.

Fragrances.

I have been enjoying Especially ESCADA Delicate Notes lately – it’s a light and airy floral scent for the day. Keeps me feeling fresh in the morning and lasts well through the day – seems to fade away towards the 8th hour mark on me.

My bottle of Chanel COCO Noir arrived and this has been my go-to scent for the evening.

I always have bottles of perfume samples in my makeup bag. Some days when I am in a rush, I forget to spray perfume so the samples come in handy. I can’t wait to see Tom Ford in Singapore later this year – I hope his entire makeup line will make their way here too.

A few random pictures.

Yes, I have already bought my 2013 planner – it’s never too early to start planning.

Totally obsessed with Lancôme L’Absolu Mat in 300 lately. I have been wearing it a lot and I love it – have you checked out their Fall collection yet? Are you loving it too?

A little sneak peek at some of the upcoming posts – I have Lancôme, Illamasqua, Shiseido, Hakuhodo and more in line for reviews. Many of the products are still waiting to be photographed and swatched. After which they will be tested.

Am impressed with most of the items tested so far. 2012 is surely a great year with great products and great brands moving in.

Chanel Paris postcards. Love the sketches.

Two random photos of Taiwan.

And lastly, my niece.

Thank you for looking.

  1. Your blog is so much fun! Your niece is adorable. I’m jealous of your Hakuhodo collection. I am addicted to these brushes! The food looks delicious. I will make some of these dishes. I also love the new Coco Noir which is unusual because I have never worn a floral oriental as it doesn’t seem like “me” but this one works. It’s a gorgeous fragrance and I bet it’ll be a bit hit. I look forward to your upcoming product reviews.

    • Hi Mimi,
Thank you for your kind comment!!
I don’t have many Hakuhodo brushes actually and their J Series seems to be quite affordable =)
      Yes, they are addictive eh?
Glad you are enjoying COCO Noir too!!
      xx

    • Hi Ahwish,
I went to their pre-launch event and pre-ordered my bottle..
Chanel delivered it to my home =)
Try Chanel counters, it may be available already!!
If possible, ask for the miniature sample in a box – it’s too cute!!
      xx
