The first Yves Saint Laurent Beauté Boutique Store will be joining ION’s impeccable lineup of retail outlets on the 16th September – which is tomorrow!! The popular French label has returned to Singapore with a collection of skincare, makeup and fragrances.

The magic of Yves Saint Laurent will begin in the first South East Asia boutique on the 16th of September at 12pm sharp after three years of absence in Singapore.

The first five to visit YVES SAINT LAURENT BEAUTÉ at ION Orchard, #B2-34, on the 16th of September 2012, as YSL opens their door at 12pm, will receive iconic Yves Saint Laurent products worth $350 each, with their compliments because they want to share the magic of Yves Saint Laurent with you.

The next fifty will receive limited edition Yves Saint Laurent products that are not available in Singapore, with their compliments, worth up to $65 each.

At ION’s standalone boutique store, one can expect personalized services such as skin diagnosis, skin pampering massages as well as a series of makeover services.

Fans of their iconic Touche Éclat click-pen complexion enhancer (one is sold every 10 seconds worldwide) can now expect a wider range of shades to suit different skin tones – if No1 is too light for you and No2 is too pink, try No1.5 and other new products to look forward to include – Le Teint Touche Éclat, Vernis a Levres and Pure Chromatics.

Last month, Yves Saint Laurent held a media event at The Fullerton Hotel. At the event, we witnessed the work of three renowned makeup artists – they only had 10 minutes to work on their models. They did a fantastic job. Don’t the models look stunning?

And the dresses they were wearing are gorgeous too.

Review of their new Glossy Stains took longer than I thought – shall feature them as soon as I can. Looking forward to try their new foundation too.

YSL brought in a wider range of foundation shades to cater to women of all skin tones – which I think all brands should start doing if they haven’t. I am a huge fan of base products because I believe that with good complexion (or at least by faking a good complexion), you can get away with anything.

Personally, I don’t have much difficulties finding a match for most foundations in the market but I am aware that many others who are fairer and darker than myself have problems exploring and expanding their choice of base products. Many brands bring in only a fraction of shades developed – say 6 out of 10.

I am very happy to learn that YSL is making the effort to bring in more shades which will help (I hope) a lot of people.

Hoping to feature more products from this brand in time to come.
