Tom Ford, one of the brands I have always wanted to try. Beginning of the year, my cousin helped me purchase two items from Australia – I picked 5 items but only 2 were in stock. Shall wait patiently for Tom Ford to arrive in Singapore – I will probably splurge on more eyeshadow quads, brushes, lipsticks and nail polishes.
This Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in 01 Golden Mink contains 10g of product, made in Italy.
I couldn’t decide which combination to pick but I reckon I should go for something safe because I have not seen the actual piece in person. And so, Golden Mink seemed perfect – gorgeous everyday neutrals can’t go wrong, can it?
I find the packaging slightly masculine – could it be the colour or design? Presented in a brown plastic casing with gold details added a touch of luxury and glam but I feel that it lacks a little weight. Think Burberry, Burberry’s eyeshadows and blushers are heavy but this quad isn’t.
But it comes with the softest velvet pouch I have ever felt before. Very similar to SUQQU’s but even softer.
Golden Mink contains a glittery gold, glittery bronze, shimmery tan and shimmery brown.
All the shades have a decent colour payoff and all of them are ultra finely milled. The texture feels soft to touch and blends into the skin seamlessly and effortlessly. Even the glittery shades do not feel gritty at all, it’s amazing. And they sparkle beautifully.
This quad can be used in several different ways, like most other quads and the colour combination for this one is easy to go from day to night, natural to sophisticated within minutes – the colours blend really easily.
Swatches taken under natural sun light without flash – on dry arm without primer.
During application, I experienced very little fall outs – even the glittery shades seem to adhere nicely onto my lids. I am truly impressed. The colours stayed vibrant and intact throughout the day without an eyeshadow primer. Note that I don’t usually have problems with creasing.
Overall, LOVE – very. I love the shades and the shades seem to work well on my skin tone. I can’t wait to explore Tom Ford once the brand sets foot in Singapore. I would probably go crazy but I guess the steep price point will slow me down – a lot.
I think these eyeshadows are definitely worth a look for those who have extravagant taste. Not necessary this combination if you already own many neutrals – if I was able to check them out in person, I may not have picked up Golden Mink too but no regrets at all – the quality is just superb.
Hope you like the pictures and that this post has helped in a way or another.
Thank you for reading.
Might I say that you have lovely taste! This palette is a stunner, those shades!!! I would have chosen the same ❤
Thank you hun!!
The shades are really beautiful especially when worn, I am deeply in love =)
Beautiful palette Joey, I have been resisting buying the eye palettes just because I’m not sure which palette to get. Like you I’ll ptobably wait till TF arrive and do some swatching to decide. It is a hefty investment 🙂
Oh gosh Jacqueline, I think we must go on a swatch feast when TF is here..
I am so in love, I need more!!
Totally, a hefty investment but all worth it, IMO =)
Happy Saturday dear xx
