Welcome New Theme & Little Updates

Hello everyone, by now, you may have noticed some rather “big” changes to the blog – hurray!! I have finished tweaking with my new theme – well, sort of. How do you like it?

A few months ago, I started getting a little bored with my “old” layout and I wanted something simple but with a slider – it’s always nice to have some movement on the site, don’t you agree? I kept searching for existing WordPress themes and finally found something I could use.

This theme, Sight allows custom design – I changed the fonts and colours to suit my preferences. I am very happy with the results and very excited, I need to share with you some new features.

As you can see, there’s a post slider on the top featuring certain posts (note that these featured posts will not appear directly under “Latest Entries” unless you click on the respective category) and on the header, beside the “Search Box”, you will see four of the most popular sub-categories – this allows you to access posts easier without having to scroll down.

Each entry now features a “featured image” and a synopsis – because this “featured image” has to be manually inserted into each post, I wasn’t able to edit 1000+ of my past posts – I have only backdated up to October. Posts without “featured image” will display as plain text.

Images are slightly smaller for this theme, I hope you don’t mind. Below is how it looks on my mobile.

Speaking of mobile phones, I am using a Samsung Galaxy Note II now. After using an iPhone for the past couple of years, I guess it’s time for a change – and I am happy with this change. Many thanks to Mak, he surprised me with this and so I treated him a delicious meal.

Note II is very different from an iPhone. I spent 2 whole days playing with it and filling up all the “pages” with widgets. Am loving how big the screen is and the flexibility to customize.

Food, food and food.

My sister brought back a box of super delicious grapes from Japan – I have never enjoyed grapes this much, they are plump, juicy, sweet and seedless. Thumbs up. She also brought back two Japanese melons, they are really very good – seriously, I don’t know how to enjoy non-Japanese grapes and melons anymore.

Cupcakes from Twelve Cupcakes – drool worthy comfort food I say.

Went PIQUE•NIQUE at Jcube for dinner the other day – it was our first visit and I love the decorations. The food is really nice too.

Finally got the chance to explore Jcube that day – although I stay very nearby. I am quite impressed with selection of stores and design of the mall – very spacious and easy to navigate. Another mall I am liking a lot is Star Vista – gorgeous architecture based on the concept of nature.

Wedding bells – have been attending so many weddings lately. And baby showers. Congratulations to all of those who newly wedded and sending my warmest love and regards to new mummies and daddies. Thank you for all the invites and delicious dinners.

Currently loving Chanel Malice – definitely a must-have for me.

Skyfall – my first ever James Bond movie. Gosh, I am loving Bérénice Marlohe – I think she is super gorgeous and her makeup in that movie is breathtaking especially the look with smoky eyes and dark lips. And I am insanely addicted to Skyfall’s official theme song by Adele, I kept having it on repeat.

And lastly, I would like to thank all of you for your support – the Blog Sale was a huge success with over 80% of items sold. I will keep this page active and may add in items periodically so try to come back once in a while to check if there are any items you may like to purchase.

For those who have sent me an email saying you have received the items, thank you very much. I am so sorry, I haven’t had the time to reply each of you individually.

If you have noticed, I haven’t watermarked some of my most recent photos – I may not do so in the future anymore because watermark (really) doesn’t prevent people from using my pictures (sadly). And together with this new theme, I am currently updating some “pages”, looking forward.

Before the year ends, I am also trying to finish all posts in my drafts folder – trust me, there are so many, I don’t know where to start!! Fingers crossed and hopefully you will find 1 or 2 interesting posts from there.

Thank you for reading.
