Hello everyone, I have 6 more empties for you this month. Great to be finishing products during this time of the year because I can stock up during the festive offers. Today, I have a quick post on these items. I have mentioned most of them in previous posts, will link to their original post.
Hope you find the information helpful.
- DR GL® CLEANSER SENSITIVE
S$128 – 240ml, Japan
Previously mentioned in my night skincare routine here – this cleanser is gentle yet leaves my skin feeling clean and supple. It foams up slightly which I like – generally, I dislike cleansers that doesn’t foam up, makes me feel as if I didn’t clean my face properly.
Have finally finished my second bottle this month. Will not be repurchasing any time soon – shall try other cleansers but I will surely get a bottle if I need to.
- BIODERMA SENSIBIO H2O cleansers, removes makeup, soothes | non-rinse – fragrance free
S$TBA – 500ml, France
I also include this Bioderma Sensibio H2O in my nightly routine if I am wearing makeup. It’s like water but it does its job tremendously well without leaving any sticky or oily residue. Lisa Eldridge did a video on how she removes her makeup here which I find very helpful.
Apart from using this makeup removing water to remove makeup on my eyes and lips, I also like to use it for cleaning of tools such as tweezers (those I use for applying false eyelashes), mascara curlers and sharpeners. It’s quick, easy and effective. I also like to use it to remove lip swatches or any arm swatches for the blog.
It doesn’t smell of anything in particular and leaves skin feeling clean, fresh and supple. It’s amazing.
- L’OCCITANE BONNE MÈRE GENTLE BODY WASH – HONEY
S$49 – 600ml, France
One of my favourite L’Occitane body washes. Apparently out-of-stock throughout the island – remember I said I wanted to get the Milk version in my October favourites post? I still couldn’t get my hands on one. The SA told me stock will only arrive in January because of a shipment delay.
- LANCÔME ACTI-LOTION NEOCALM™ multi-relief anti-stress nourishing cream-water | very moist
S$80 – 200ml, Japan
I am an avid fan of toners – my skincare routine seems to fall short without a toner. I especially love how “refreshing” it feels after having a hot shower.
Have been using this particular toner for a while and have finally finished it. It smells lovely and it’s gentle on my sensitive skin. I think this is good for dry, sensitive skin which needs a little calming and moisture. Very pleasant and I really like it.
It doesn’t irritate my skin and there’s no tingling sensation, very soothing.
- CLARINS TOTAL CLEANSING OIL* with organic perilla and olive oil | all skin types
S$50 – 150ml, France
Previously introduced in this post, this newly reformulated cleansing oil contains a combination of olive oil and perilla oil rich in essential fatty acids to preserve the skin’s hydrolipidic film. I have not tried their “old” version before thus I can’t compare.
This cleansing oil does its job perfectly well. I was able to remove 90% of my makeup (including eyeliner and mascara) with minimum effort. There’s no feeling of tightness after cleansing – the product smells lovely as always and my skin feels soft, clean and comfortable.
However, I am not certain why, each time I use this to remove eye makeup, my eyes will tear. I have tried it on separate occasions but the result is the same. It doesn’t usually happen with other cleansing oils (say Shu Uemura or FANCL) but I have sensitive eyes that tears quite easily so to speak.
Let me know if this occurs to you too, I would love to know.
Overall, an efficient cleansing oil but I am not sure if I would recommend it for use around the eye area. I only use this oil to clean my face when I am wearing very little makeup (aka no eye makeup).
- ORIGINS DRINK UP® 10 minutes mask to quench skin’s thirst
S$50 – 100ml, USA
Hydrating masks, I love. The tube pictured above is from a gift set so it’s 75ml, price above is for 100ml – their usual retail size.
I have been using this mask (on and off) for years and I love everything about it. It smells lovely, it’s nice and creamy, it doesn’t irritate my skin and it feels soothing and calming on a hot weather or when my skin is exceptionally dry. After having it on for 10 minutes, my skin feels very supple and hydrated, nice and bouncy.
Worth a try – perhaps you may want to check if Origins offer any sets with their top-selling masks like last year. Their charcoal mask is quite good too.

Did you manage to finish any products this month?
Thank you for reading.
Always a treat to read your posts 🙂
Thank you so much =)
I am experiencing the same thing with the Clarins Cleansing Oil. It kin of stings my eye a little too.
Hi Ahwish,
Sorry to know it stings your eyes too..
Am glad I am not the only one experiencing that =(
Such a shame!!
i am liking the clarins cleansing oil too because of the smell and all. however, it does the same thing to me too. my eyes will also tear whenever i use it to remove my eye make up. i’ve tried to be careful while using it around the eyes such as making sure that the oil doesn’t get into the eyes, rubbing the eyes in a specific way etc; still stings!
Hi Audrey,
Aw, sorry to know that this happens to you too..
Same here, thus I don’t use it around my eyes, only to clean off my face makeup..
AHHH i’m so jealous of everyone’s empties. I suck at using stuff up! i definitely want to try some oils, and i tried that origins mask in the spring/summer and it didn’t seem to have any long lasting effects on me. maybe now in the winter it will! 🙂
Hi Joyce,
Oils are good – never thought they would help someone like me, with combination/oily skin but they do =)
Masking is sort of a maintenance, the effects doesn’t last very long on me either..
xx
Ok, good to know! 🙂
You can try massaging facial oil on face before applying a layer of clarifying/hydrating mask..
Wipe off with a warm cloth =)
It feels really good!!
xx
KOSE Cleansing Oil stings me up a little! No problem for me with Shu Blue bottle cleansing oil 🙂
Thanks for the heads up =)
I will not try the Kosé one then!!
xx
I love finishing up products but I never manage to group them together to take a photograph. I’m usually more than happy to toss out the empty container for recycling.
About the Clarins Total Cleansing Oil, I have the same issue as well – where it stings a bit when it gets into the eyes. There was a 2 for 1 deal at the duty free when I was traveling and I got it then. It removes makeup really well, but I do prefer MAC’s Cleansing oil. I still have a bottle of the Clarins one to finish first before I move back to MAC.
Hi Fieran,
I used to toss my empties too until I started this series!!
I keep the empties in a container and every time it reaches 6 empties, I snap a picture for “review” =)
Try using a separate cleanser for eyes, that’s what I do because it really stings..
But I really enjoy using it for rest of my face tho..
Happy weekend Fieran xx
