Luxury and festivity come together for the new edition of Fashion’s Night Out. For one exceptional evening, exclusive get-togethers and creations are showcased in a jubilant atmosphere in CHANEL boutiques.
Peter Philips, Creative Director of CHANEL Makeup, celebrates fashion in colours with a collection of matching duos. For the lips: ROUGE ALLURE VELVET, the luminous velvety lip colour sets a modern, elegant style. For the nails: LE VERNIS complements the lip range by taking on bursting shades.
Three unique harmonies for three attitudes to be worn like a twin-set: stylish and resolutely feminine.

This year, Chanel jumped onto the matching lips and tips bandwagon thus the birth of Les Twin Sets. It was really exciting for me to see one of my favourite brands come up with a mini collection like this. Needless to say, I picked up all three nail polishes and lipsticks – it’s kind of the case, buy none or buy all.
In this post, I shall have swatches of all 6 items for your viewing pleasure.
Let’s take a look at the three Chanel Rouge Allure Velvets. I have done a full review of their formula here if you are interested.
- La Délicate – a warm brown-beige (a few shades deeper and darker than La Furtive)
- L’Infidèle – a dusty muted rose (lighter and brighter than La Raffinée)
- La Provocante – a deep, dark blacken plum
All three lipsticks have brilliant colour payoff. I find La Provocante is the most unique and it’s my favourite amongst them. There are just so many ways to use a dark lip colour compared to the lighter ones – you can blot it, dab it on with fingers or have it full on.
For the nails, I love all three shades with Provocation being my favourite (note: I am still going through the dark nail polish phase).
- Délicatesse – a brown toned nude
- Infidèle – a dusty bright rose
- Provocation – a deep eggplant
Chanel Les Twin Sets are nothing but love for me. I am starting to favour the idea of matching lips and tips (a little late but never too late huh?). Whenever I am wearing either one of the nail colours from this set, I try my best to match my look with the same lip colour. I think it’s fun.
Quality of the lipsticks are same as their regular ones so are the nail polishes. The nail polishes are smooth and creamy – such a delight to apply. And they are opaque in two coats, without being patchy nor streaky.
Did you pick up any items from this collection? I saw so many pictures on Twitter and Instagram – everyone bought at least a set. Are you loving them as much as I do?
Thank you for looking.
