Housed in a smaller matte plastic casing similar to the Cosme Decorte AQ MW Eyeshadow in 018 (reviewed here) is the Cosme Decorte AQ MW Blend Blush in RD 400.
This blush comes in an almost identical packaging as the eyeshadow quad, only smaller and the collection’s signature butterfly emblem is at the bottom. This blush is also lightly flora scented which I really adore. It makes application pleasant and happy (personal opinion).
As you may have noticed, the sides of this blush is divided into three equal segments – each containing complimenting colours to the main shade. Finishing of these three shades are slightly different – the lightest peach shade you see, is slightly more shimmery and the tanned shade is slightly more matte.
Together, they create beautiful soft glowing cheeks. Depending on which colour you pick up more, the effect can be ever-so-slightly different.
Some how, this blush reminds me of Lunasol Glowing Powder Cheeks – it has a similar effect on the cheeks, making them soft, dewy and radiant. That glow is simply irresistible. It’s natural looking and perfect for perking up dull complexions you and I sometimes experience.
This blush is absolutely a bliss to apply, it blends very well and effortlessly. However, as much as I like this item, I think the price is a little steep. Below is a picture of me wearing this blush – more details of this look can be found here.
Texture of this blush is nice and smooth – the powder feels almost creamy and adheres onto the skin with very little powdery residue. It has decent colour payoff and the intensity is buildable.
I usually use a plush-er blush brush like Louise Young LY06 or Lancôme 6 for application because it fits nicely onto the pan and picks up all colours. For blushers that are more glowy and dewy in finish, I like to apply directly onto the apples of my cheeks and blend downwards (hollows of the cheeks) and upwards (temple).
By using this method, some times, I can get away with highlighters.
