First of all, a warm welcome to Tom Ford – for those who don’t already know, Tom Ford is now available at TANGS Orchard.
Together with the Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in 01 Golden Mink (reviewed here), my cousin helped me purchase them from Australia earlier this year. I have done a look featuring both items here if you are interested. Today, I will be showcasing Flush in greater detail.
Retails at S$85 for 8g, made in Italy.
I am beginning to fall in love with the packaging. Look at the little details – magnetic closure, sandblasted logo on mirror and the debossed “TF” initials on the pan.
The product itself isn’t scented. Texture is incredibly finely milled and silky to touch. It’s not creamy but powdery – even so, it doesn’t create a storm on the pan. It’s lightweight yet pigmented. And I think 8g will last a life time because all you need is a few gentle strokes.
Flush is a vibrant coral pink with a subtle satin-like sheen and faint golden shimmer.
It is very gorgeous under natural day light. The colour creates an almost three-dimensional veil across the cheeks, making them look fuller and “higher”. The colour is buildable – I suggest applying a little at a time. This blush blends well and I enjoy using my Laura Mercier Cheek Colour Brush or Hakuhodo J544 to apply.
In order for the shimmers to show, I suggest tapping the colour on and blend softly in a circular motion.
Flush is a very flattering shade on my skin tone. In fact, I think this shade will look good across many skin tones – it’s neither too orange nor too pink and the satin-like finish is gorgeous. The pigments seem to blend into the skin, leaving the surface flawless and blending seamless.
Despite the hefty price tag, I think the quality of this blush is impressive enough for me to pick up another shade.
Do you remember my Tom Ford Wish List? I picked up three more items, namely an eyeshadow quad, a lipstick and a nail polish. I haven’t got around trying them yet but they all look gorgeous. Will update with photos and swatches of my purchase soon.
Thank you for looking.
