The Illamasqua Precision Ink is packaged almost identically to MAC Superslick Liquid Eye Liner, Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner and Bobbi Brown Glitter Liquid Eye Liner. All of the liquid eyeliners mentioned are made in the same country.

Let’s take a look at their applicators.

Both MAC’s and Bobbi Brown’s sponge tip applicators are very similar to Illamasqua’s with Make Up For Ever’s being shorter and more firm; and Urban Decay’s being the finest, only brush applicator amongst them.

My personal preference goes to MAC’s, Bobbi Brown’s and Illamasqua’s sponge tip applicators. The sponge absorbs enough product for application, it’s also soft enough for our delicate eye area. Depending on how you hold the applicator, the effect and thickness can vary.

Hold it straight for a thinner line and slanted for a thicker line.

Wisdom performs very similarly to MAC’s and Bobbi Brown’s. It dries relatively quickly and it doesn’t shift, smudge nor fade throughout the day. It literally stays put until I remove it at night. And it removes easily with Bioderma Sensibio H20 – removes like rubber.

I like how Wisdom looks on the lids – it has an almost three-dimensional, duo tone effect. The shade is just right, not too dark (which may some times look like black) and not too light (light shades make my eyes look small for some reason).

With Wisdom, you get decent colour payoff with one stroke but not fully opaque. In order to achieve a solid block of colour, I had to go for a second layer.

Overall, I love the shade and longevity of this product. And the removal process is a bliss too. I think I need Havoc next.

If you like liquid eyeliners like MAC Superslick Liquid Eye Liner, chances of you liking this is quite high because they basically performs very similarly except the range of colours available from each brand.

MAC Desires & Devices is quite similar to Wisdom but a tad more green and solid.
