My 5 All Time Favourites For December 2012

My 5 All Time Favourites - 12-2012

Good evening everyone, this post shall mark the end of 2012 and the last entry on Joey’space for the year. I hope all of you are having a great time ushering 2013 – be it at home, at a party or somewhere. Me? I am home busy preparing turkey and mashed potatoes for a dinner party with family and friends later.

This month’s favourites were particularly difficult to pick because I have been enjoying lots of great products lately. But nonetheless, I have selected five I can’t bear to part.

Dior reformulated this range of foundation – the new DIORSKIN Nude Skin Glowing Makeup is amazing. More information about them can be found here. I finished a bottle of their older version, loved it and this new formula didn’t disappoint me at all.

They are both very similar but I find the coverage of their newer version a tad fuller. It’s easy to blend and I love how naturally radiant my complexion looks. Now that the compact is available, I set this foundation with its compact and it’s flawless. And I experienced no caking at all.

However, on a hot and humid day – in a no air-conditioned environment, this foundation doesn’t quite last around my T-zone (based on a 12 hour test).

Regard Signé de Chanel in Harmonie Du Soir is my go-to eyeshadow palette this month. I enjoy wearing the colours a lot and if you have missed my previous posts, I have shared my thoughts here and done a look featuring this palette here.

EVE LOM Cleanser – a cleanser I have heard so much about but only got to try it recently. I received a press sample and have finished it even before reviewing it. I like it so much, I bought the full size.

It’s almost like a cleansing ritual when using this cleanser. I must admit, I didn’t like the smell of it initially but it’s a scent that grows on you – I have learnt to accept it and now, it’s a scent I think of almost every night. It makes me look forward to removing my makeup for some reason.

And the muslin cloth is magnificent.

During this festive season, highlighters have become my best friend. I refuse to leave home without some form of highlighter on my cheek bones and brow bones – I alternate a few and found my preference goes to the NARS Copacabana Multiple. I like the “wet-look” effect and that gorgeous glow.

Last but not least, YSL 1 Rouge Pop Art – a red that I have been enjoying so much, I think I have neglected all my other nail polishes. Nothing but love – the formula, the brush applicator and oh my, the mind-blowing red hue is hot. Check out my swatches here.

Thank you for looking.

  1. I just got the Harmonie du Soir eye quad for Christmas, haven’t tried it yet but it looks really pretty, a neutral but with some pizazz. What a great idea, TURKEY!! I think I’ll make one too along with the mashers, yum. Great way to finish off 2012. My son will be ecstatic. I always love your blog, you do such a beautiful job. See you in 2013.

  2. I have used the EVE LOM several times and I love it too, the scent is very relaxing and natural. Even though I used it without the muslin cloth (the instructions about using that seems too troublesome!) I just massage it into my face and it ‘lathers’ up, it’s so gentle and cleansing. Considering getting a full sized soon. Haha.
