Pastel nails for Spring/Summer is on trend this year. Today, I bring you three delightful hues from Estée Lauder. You can find more information on the Heavy Petals Pure Color Nail Lacquer Collection over here – including collection details, prices and launch date.
Ever since I discovered Estée Lauder nail polishes, they have never really failed to impress and these three new shades make wearing pastels so much fun.
Absinthe is striking, bright lime green with mild undertones of yellow.
I love this shade very much. It’s vivid and fun – especially on the toes. Due to the very mild yellow undertones, it doesn’t make my complexion appear sallow. It’s quite cool to see Estée Lauder release such a quirky shade in my opinion.
Lilac Leather is a lavender blush with hints of white.
Sweet and innocent. A fine blend between baby pink and a touch of lilac. I think this shade doesn’t suit me very well due to the white undertones. It makes my fingers and hands look darker than they are.
Coral Cult is a bright, solid bittersweet with subtle addition of white.
Blazing and cheerful. Besides the green above, this is the other shade I like from the set. It feels as if Spring/Summer has arrived – the perfect shade for beach vacation.
Amongst the three shades, I like Absinthe and Coral Cult most because they seem to gel with my skin tone better.
All three shades have nice and smooth texture, they are easy to paint without being streaking nor patchy. Consistency is similar to rest of the Estée Lauder nail polishes. The shade Absinthe is slightly less opaque than the other two and the slight patchiness from the above photo you see, is due to my poor paint job.
The sky was looking rather dark and it was going to rain, I was rushing to catch the sun.
Overall, love. I would love to check out Dilettante in person and am wondering how it compares to some of my favourite baby blues. You can find swatches of the entire collection on Vampy Varnish.
Thank you for looking.
All nail swatches were photographed under natural sun light without flash – with Rescue Beauty Lounge Base Coat, 2 coats of nail polish and no top coat.
Agreed! The fresh froggy green of Absinthe is really something you wouldn’t immediately think is an Estee Lauder release! All 3 are pretty! So glossy!
Love the green!!
I had it on my toes and I can’t stop admiring it =)
Oooh Absinth! Love love it! It’s such a different shade from most spring collection and it looks just like a really fun and bright colour 🙂
