This Spring, Shiseido introduces a new range of lipsticks call the Perfect Rouge Tender Sheer. When I hear the name of this range, I imagine soft shades with sheer coverage, slightly glossy. I wasn’t all wrong but there is so much more than I expected.
Each retails at S$43 for 4g of product, made in Japan. Available in 10 flattering shades.
I had a difficult time picking shades I like from this range, all 10 of them seem so wearable and work friendly. They are almost like shades I don’t have to think twice about having on, they are shades I can wear on a daily basis for work, meeting, hang out with friends or even partying at night.
Shades range from sweet pinks, dusty roses, warm corals to deepen berries. Swatches of all shades available on The Make-up Blogette and FacesbySarah.
The shade I picked is BE 302 Topaz – it’s a beige nude with a touch of peach. It has tiny flecks of golden shimmer but not noticeable when worn. On my lips, this shade translates more beige nude with very little peach. If your lips are less pigmented as mine, you will see a richer tint of peach – which is so gorgeous.

I absolutely adore Shiseido’s embossed message. The words “TOKYO GINZA SHISEIDO” delicately rings the bottom of the lipstick – each time I see it, I smile. I smile because I love and appreciate these tiny details a brand has put in to ensure us their quality and confident.
It makes me feel confident wearing it too.
I find the formula of Shiseido Perfect Rouge Tender Sheer moisturizing. Even after 3-4 hours of wearing it, when I press my lips together, my lips don’t feel dry. BE 302 Topaz has a subtle shiny finish, not particularly glossy like a typical lip gloss but a natural sheen.
The silky smooth texture of them reminds me of MAQuillAGE True Rouge. BE 302 Topaz applies easily and distributes colour evenly onto the lips without using much pressure and effort.
If I compare MAQuillAGE True Rouge and Shiseido Perfect Rouge Tender Sheer, the latter range are slightly more pigmented. I find the former range more hydrating and moist – and fills up lines on the lips better. Each has its own strength I guess and it depends on your preferences and concerns.
For those with very dry lips, you may want to try MAQuillAGE’s. But if your lips are in “ok” condition, meaning not too dry – Shiseido’s is perfect and they lasts longer too.
Here’s a look I did with Shiseido Perfect Rouge Tender Sheer in BE 302 Topaz.
Was in a very blue-inspired mood last weekend, I pulled out anything and everything blue. I realized my variety of blue makeup is quite sparse – I couldn’t find a matte, bright blue eyeliner. And so, I mixed a few items to create the shocking blue hue you see.
What do you think of this look?
Special thanks to Jeszy for this super cute rat ring. I am a rat if you are wondering, so is she.
Overall, I think Shiseido Perfect Rouge Tender Sheer in BE 302 Topaz is a very wearable colour but for me, I definitely need some form of eye makeup to go along with it. It’s not a shade I can pull off with just foundation and brows – if you know what I mean, I look dead.
This tone of peach/beige nude pairs exceptionally well with dramatic smokey eyes – blacks, blues, greens and/or browns will be stunning. Or you can simply pair it with a bright pop of eyeliner like I did.
Thank you for looking.
Love the blue and the lipstick goes with the whole look 🙂 can I ask, what brush might that be? The one that u used for the blue? Thanks 🙂
Thanks Kas =)
