Hello everyone, this morning, I have two eyeshadow quads to share with you – the Clé de Peau BEAUTÉ Eye Color Quad in 209 Sapphire & 210 Aquamarine from their Mediterranean Mien Makeup Collection For Spring 2013.
Each Eye Color Quad retails at S$76 for the refill and S$36 for the case. Contains 5g of product, made in Japan.
Each refill comes in a clear plastic casing with lid and each casing comes with a set of brushes.
If you don’t need to travel with these eyeshadows or if you don’t usually bring them out in your makeup pouches, I would suggest skipping the casing to save some money and space – you can store these eyeshadow cartridges in am empty palette.
These eyeshadow cartridges snap right into the casing without the need to use any glue or sticky tapes.
Clé de Peau BEAUTÉ Eye Color Quad In 209 Sapphire
209 Sapphire is like an older sister of the two. The colour combination and blue from this set is more grown-up and classic.

This palette consists of sparkling champagne, sparkling gold, sapphire blue and a metallic ivory. Together, the shades create a stunning and classy look. For those who are more conservative, this palette is a good alternative for playing with colours.
The sapphire blue is subtle yet sharp, very wearable to me – especially using it along the lash line with a black eyeliner under.
Clé de Peau BEAUTÉ Eye Color Quad In 210 Aquamarine
I would say 210 Aquamarine is the younger version of them two. The cheerful pop of aquamarine blue instantly makes this palette fun and merry.
Swatches below taken under natural day light, without flash – on dry arm.
This palette includes a bright sparkling gold, a burnt sandy beige, a bright aquamarine and a mid-tone brown.
Despite having a brighter blue in this palette, the combination of hues makes it as wearable. The earthy, warm browns tone down the brightness of aquamarine – giving a mediterranean twist to the combo. I think the mix of colours in this quad is something interesting.
Both palettes are love – each has its own audience. Texture of these eyeshadows are soft, silky and ultra smooth – they are also very finely milled. Every shade has decent colour payoff.
If you are someone who loves solid colours, these may not be up your alley. The shades can be used as lightly as you wish and the intensity is buildable. These shades are great for layering without being heavy nor have any form of build up.
I would highly recommend them for those who likes sparkly yet natural and translucent type of look. Or if you enjoy layering eyeshadows, these are perfect too.
For me, I like to layer them over cream shadow bases – it’s amazing how a different base colour can change the outcome. While both palettes lasted very well on my lids without creasing nor fading, I experienced some minor fall outs during application.
I have done a look using both palettes, click here to view.
Thank you for looking.
I bought the #209, the older sister as you say, and it’s really wearable. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to wear the blue but it works. These shadows are sheer and soft and you can build the color or keep it downplayed. I love this one. I also bought the face palette in #13 and it is gorgeous and subtle, great for pale skin. I also bought the Raspberry Ripple lipstick. It is very nice, no icky taste, not sticky. It is a soft somewhat pale blue pink that makes my lips look bigger and they stay moist. All 3 are winners!
Hi Mimi,
Amazing purchase and I am so happy you like all of them!!
This brand sure carries some true gems =)
