A big hello to everyone, sorry for the absence lately – life has been filled with all kinds of things and I haven’t been able to blog as often.
Nonetheless, this series of empties must go on and I have finished more products. On a side note, did you notice any difference to this site’s sidebar? I have added a column for the three popular series running on this blog every month. Now, you can access them easier.
What have you finished this month?
L’OCCITANE ROSE 4 REINES BATH & SHOWER GEL
S$53 – 500ml, France
You know I love all things roses and this is possibly the 3rd bottle of shower gel I have finished ever since Kas gifted me my first bottle. Many thanks for introducing this to me. As a fan of L’Occitane bath products, I am ashamed – I have never tried this before and I kept asking myself why.
This shower gel is lightly rose scented and although the scent is soft and delicate, it lingers on my body for quite some time. I love using it especially before I go to bed, the smell is beautiful and perfect for sleep.
It foams up which is what I like and it leaves skin feeling soft and smooth. When I first started using it, Mak actually commented that my skin feels like baby – he kept asking what’s the secret. The secret is this shower gel. A definite must try on my list.
ROUGE BUNNY ROUGE CAPTURED MIST OF SERENITY* Gentle Cleansing Water
S$65 – 120ml, Italy
I like using cleansing water to remove some of my makeup prior to cleansing with a proper cream cleanser followed by a foaming one.
It took me quite some time to finish this bottle of cleansing water. I am not sure if I would recommend it because it is truly gentle – I think it’s too gentle for me. It doesn’t quite clean off eye makeup especially waterproof or long-lasting formulas.
This cleansing water also leaves a slightly sticky feeling behind which I am not fond of.
However, I think this cleansing water is great for those with very dry and sensitive skin. It’s paraben-, paraben-, fragrance-, alcohol- and soap-free.
BIODERMA ATODERM LIP BALM – Dry, Chapped Damaged Lips
S$TBA – 15ml, France
This lip balm was part of a gift with purchase when I bought some of their products in Hong Kong.
I am glad that this was included because it works wonderfully on my lips. It’s moisturizing and nourishing, it repairs and soothes my dry, chapped lips. And it doesn’t smell or taste of anything in particular. The rich melting texture is plus for me and I like to wear it under my lipstick.
It’s not sticky and makes my lips feel soft and supple.
CLARINS WHITE PLUS | HP GENTLE BRIGHTENING EXFOLIATOR
S$60 – 50ml, France
Previously reviewed here – this is one exfoliator I always go back to.
CLARINS TONING LOTION Alcohol-Free with Camomile for normal or dry skin
S$43 – 200ml, France
Found an “old” bottle (packaging) of this Clarins toner and decided I should use it. I am a toner freak and I like Clarins toning lotions because they are gentle and mostly alcohol-free.
Compared to the Clarins Extra-Comfort Toning Lotion, consistency of this is less thick and for me, it’s fantastic for the morning. It feels refreshing and my skin feels nice and clean. I use it with cotton pads and I pad a generous amount onto my face. I let the toning lotion settle down for about 2 minutes and continue with my daily skincare routine.
CLINIQUE MOISTURE SURGE Extended Thirst Relief
S$75 – 50ml, UK
This great performer is one of my makeup/skincare staples because it’s so versatile. I love the gel-like texture and the mild cooling sensation upon application. Some times, I use this as a makeup base if my skin is dehydrated. Some times as a moisturizer after my serum and some times as a mask, even for the lips.
I am currently using their eye masks and I love it. For more information of what’s available in this range, please check out this post.

Out of the six empties I have this month, I am very certain I will re-purchase most of them. I hope to pick up another tube of Bioderma Atoderm Lip Balm but I am not sure if its available in Singapore. I have a deluxe sample of Clinique Moisture Surge which I have started using.
Thank you for reading.
I have almost run out of my Tatcha moisturizer and eye cream and have ordered them both again. I love Tatcha products, I hope you can get them in Singapore. They are wonderful! I have tried every product that they put out and I have loved everything. This has never happened to me before in the decades that I have been caring for my skin.
I have heard so many great things about Tatcha – mostly from you and you are the one who introduced me to this brand!!
As much as I want to try their products, there isn’t a counter in Singapore =(((
I hope they will come here some day..
Joey, I am not very computer savvy but I do believe you can see my email address. I would be honored to send you many samples of the Tatcha products but I would need your address in Singapore. If you would like to send it to me in a private email (not here on your blog) then I shall gather many items and send them to you. I think you will absolutely adore this line. P.S. I am in no way affiliated with Tatcha nor do I work for them. I just am head over heels about their products and have emailed back and forth many times with Vicky Tsai, the owner of the company. She is a doll and very gracious.
Hi Mimi,
Oh, thank you so much for offering!!
You are so kind to do that.. Let me look through their website and see if there’s anything I need =)
Thank you so much once again =)
P/S I just checked their website, they ship internationally, what great news!!
Do you prefer the Clarins HydraQuench or Clinique Moisture Surge? In terms of hydrating power, while not being overly rich?
Thanks in advance! 😀
Hi Raelene,
I have only tried the Clarins HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase before and I love it. If you have been a user of that range, I suggest sticking to it – try the Intensive Serum Bi-Phase =)
It really boosts up my skin’s moisture level.
Clinique Moisture Surge is great for day use – try their Intense version if you are up for something more powerful!!
Happy weekend xx
Hey, do you prefer the Clarins Hydraquench or Clinique moisture surge? Which has greater hydrating power, in your opinion? I’m using the Clarins Hydraquench cream and it isn’t too rich, so I really love it! Could do with more hydrating products in my arsenal, though! I’m in air conditioned environment almost 20hours a day..
