Top Five Favourites Of The Month – March 2013

My 5 All Time Favourites - 03-2013

Good afternoon everyone, here comes another edition of my top five favourites. This month, I get to try lots of products despite my hectic traveling schedules. You might recall seeing a few of these items being mentioned on the blog before, shall link to original posts if any.

In recent months, Urban Decay has launched a dozen of new products – from the NAKED Basics to Glinda and Theodora Palettes. And about 2 weeks ago, they launched NAKED Flushed and NAKED Skin Beauty Balm. I picked up a few items and together, I also got the Optical Blurring Brush.

This brush is amazing, period. It’s dense and buffs any liquid, cream or powder products onto the skin beautifully. The soft hairs pick up and distribute product evenly – I like the weight of this brush, it’s a little heavier but in a good way. This brush provides a seamless application, with no streak marks.

Totally worth checking out.

Second in line is The Body Shop Moisture White™ Shiso BB Serum Inside*, reviewed here.

Not a new product but I have been enjoying the Clarins UV Plus | HP Day Screen High Protection SPF 40* again. This time, the tinted version.

Due to the ridiculously hot weather recently, I haven’t been using much makeup – even if I do, I prefer a lighter base like BB cream with compact powder or simply sunscreen with loose powder. As mentioned in a sunscreen overview, I like this sunscreen because the pink tint makes my skin look more radiant.

I also like how it makes my skin look more flawless and even toned.

Not entirely a fan of lip glosses but these SISLEY Phyto Lip Glosses blew me off right away – as soon as I swatched them. I couldn’t leave the counter with just one but four.

And lastly, I have been enjoying the AVEDA Invati Exfoliating Shampoo all month. I love it. This shampoo cleanses, exfoliates and renews the scalp with wintergreen-derived salicylic acid. It’s clinically proven to remove build-up of sebum and product residue that can clog pores and affect healthy hair.

I don’t use this daily but once every week – usually the weekend. I love the smell – it contains a blend of Ayurvedic herbs, including turmeric and ginseng. My hair smells just like spa after wash.

Thank you for reading.

    • Hello Sharina,
They are both different in my opinion.
I always pair Lancôme Visionnaire together with Génifique – the results are more obvious and can be felt and seen the very next day.
As for Clarins Double Serum, I think it’s more convenient for travels. It’s like an all-in-one serum. All I need is my toner and this serum when I travel =)
      Hope I helped xx

  1. Hi Joey,

Did you buy the Aveda shampoo in Singapore? If you did, please let me know at what stores/salons it is available.

    Thanks!
