In my last W Hotel Staycation post, I mentioned we treated ourselves to a spa at the AWAY® Spa.

The AWAY® Spa features relaxing rainforest-like surroundings with wooden sculptures and soothing natural surfaces. Guests can unwind in the detox changing area, where electronic lockers keep personal items safe. Then head to the decompression area, home to a sauna, steam room and vitality pool with body jets.

Let me bring you on a tour around the spa.

At the entrance, you will see a feature wall showcasing ILA-Spa products used for all the treatments available at AWAY® Spa.

I like the spacious changing room equipped with hair dryers and curling tools. Their electronic lockers are pretty cool too.

After changing into their comfortable spa robe, I stepped into the decompression area where the Vitality Pool is – which is gorgeous. I don’t want to leave this area. The ever-changing mood lighting made this space relaxing and serene – very calming to the mind, body and soul.

Before entering our treatment room, there’s a waiting area called Refuel.

There are healthy snacks and hot tea for anyone who has a minute or two to spare. These “spaceship” looking armchair beds are so pampering – I think I can fall asleep in one while snacking on walnuts and dried cranberries.

Our AWAY® Spa Duo Delight Treatment Room – isn’t it breathtaking?

We picked a treatment for 2 called 2 Better Than 1. The treatment is approximately 120 minutes from start to finish.

This 120 minutes treatment is priced at S$600 (exclusive of tax and service charge).

The mixologist blends exquisite oils of Rose – known as the oil of love, Orange Bloss om for bliss and Jasmine to heighten senses. Includes a full body scrub, a hot outdoor bubble bath, a full body massage and ends with an enchanting journey that connects our body, mind and soul.

I love the scrub, my skin feels extremely smooth and soft – and the effects lasted for a few weeks.

The most special thing about this treatment is – the last step where the therapist poured warm oil onto our foreheads and let it drip into a metal bowl. The warm oil tunnels through my scalp and hair – the experience was unspeakable and memorable.

After the treatment, my scalp and hair seems very conditioned but washing away the dense oil was quite a task.

We had a wonderful time at the spa. I wish we had more time to explore the features tho – we were rushing for a dinner so I didn’t get to go to the sauna and steam room.
