Our staycation at W Singapore has proved to be a “sinful” one. We were surrounded with good food especially the restaurants along Quayside Isle.
If you have a weekend to spare, this is the place to visit. It can be with your beloved other half, family or even friends. From late breakfast to desserts, there’s something for everyone – I need to revisit for some waffles and ice cream, and some delicious fish & chips.
The first place I want to talk about is – Brussels Sprouts.
Clueless of where to dine, we asked for recommendations from the front desk – many of the staff mentioned Brussels Sprouts and so we went. It was packed as it was a Friday night but we managed to find ourselves a nice table for two tucked in the corner.
May I say, the service is excellent. All their staff are friendly and attentive – we were very impressed. We ordered mash potatoes, fish & chips and waffles.
Nothing but delicious.
For our lunch the next day, we decided on Picotin – sister company of Brussels Sprouts.
The set up was beautiful. We sat outdoors and our view was fantastic – but a little hot for our Singaporean weather. I bet it will be awesome at night – more chilling for sure.
We had Spicy Lamb Burger and Spaghetti Bolognaise – not bad.
Took a scroll and..
We ended up at Note di Sicilia for some fresh, traditionally made gelato.
This place offers 16 spectacular Milano flavours and we love their Dark Chocolate, Nocciola and Pistachio.
Absolutely in love with the Quayside Isle. It reminds me of King Street Wharf in Sydney. Definitely one of the best ways to spend a day (or night) along this place for some comfort food.
Am looking forward to our next staycation but we have not settled on anywhere yet – if you have a place to recommend, please let us know.
Thank you for looking.
Wow this place looks great. Yummy looking food and such a nice setting with the boats nearby. You are beautiful in that pretty floral dress. I’m glad you enjoyed yourself and I enjoy seeing all that you do and the places you go. Thanks Joey!
Thank you so much for your interest!! It’s a very beautiful and posh area.. can’t wait to visit again 🙂
What a nice stay-cation, seems like! In any case, this is totally unrelated, but would you consider doing a blog post on your hair? Yes, your impecable hair in humid, tropical weather. I’ve noticed on your posts that your hair always look lovely, even on the outdoor. I love how it stays sleek, shiny, with no frizz in sight. I went to Singapore once, my hair turned into frizzy mess, not to mention my makeup melt upon the first blast of hot air outside our AC-ed hotel. Yeah, perhaps you should consider doing blog post for both hair and makeup in tropical weather. Comes summer, many of us will vacation in sunnier weather, the tips/tricks may come handy. Sorry for a bit of rambling, nice job as always on the blog.
Hi Claire,
It was awesome!!
Thank you for the suggestions, will try to do one on hair soon (very much requested actually)..
No worries and thanks for the kind compliments =)
Happy Sunday xx
I love reading about new food places. I love Sentosa a lot so this would be a great place to go on Sundays. You look like you had a lot of fun Joey.
Hi Jacqueline,
We had a wonderful time and yes, I love reading about new food places myself too =)
Happy Sunday dear xx
