Miracle Day Out: Featuring Lancôme Mat Miracle -24H-

Miracle Day Out Featuring Lancôme Mat Miracle -24H- (1)

Hello everyone, Lancôme has recently launched a new foundation – the Mat Miracle -24H- (which I believe is the Asian version of  Teint Idole Ultra 24H). It promises all day wear, shine free and no transfer.

Last week, Sophia and I were on a Miracle Day Out, putting this new foundation to a test – and our day started off with a delicious high tea buffet at The Rose Veranda, Shangri-La Hotel Singapore. We met at about 3:45pm, on a relatively humid day after the rain.

I brought my new camera gifted by my lovely sister out too and tried a few different settings. Still trying to get used to it. Picture you see above was taken with the “soft focus” art filter, I am loving this effect – makes my skin looks a 100 times smoother, brighter, more radiant and glowy.

I will follow-up with a more detailed review of this foundation – in this entry, let’s enjoy the pictures and I shall share my experience of how this foundation feels throughout the day. And of course, what we did.

The high tea buffet spread was quite good but what really caught my attention were the desserts. And with us, seated right in front of the dessert bar didn’t help. The freshly baked scones absolutely won over my heart – if only I could have one more.

START OF THE DAY

I love the texture of this Mat Miracle foundation.
It's velvety smooth and blends really well onto the skin.
It provides sheer to medium coverage.
And it's lightweight and comfortable on the skin.

Throughout this Miracle Day Out, we tried to take as many pictures as possible. To be honest, I have not taken so many pictures in one day – for a long time and it was really fun.

We even took pictures of what we had in our makeup pouches.

Perfect lighting for more pictures – both of us had Céline shades on. On me is the Deep Square sunglasses in black and I believe Sophia is wearing her pair of Audrey in black.

At about 6:15pm, we met up with Sarah for some “window shopping” at TANGS and dinner at Delicious.

Not exactly “window shopping” for me as I purchased two Jo Malone colognes in Blue Agava & Cacao and French Lime Blossom – only to find out I already own the latter.

Thankfully, my other bottle is finishing.

More photos at Jo Malone’s counter while waiting for my colognes to be packed.

MID-DAY

Blotting was still necessary around my T-zone.
But foundation stays in place.
I think this foundation photographs very well.

The three of us, having a little chit-chat and some drinks after dinner.

Credits to Sarah for capturing this beautiful outfit of the day (sort of) shot. I love this pair of comfortable mustard colour pants from Womb.

Balcons du Guadalquivir bangle from Hermès and shoes from Steve Madden.

My nails that day. Love the shocking pop of neon green tip that my manicurist help me paint – she did such a great job.

These are the products I have on my face that day – mostly Lancôme;-

One last shot of me at about 9:30pm – sorry it’s a little blur, picture taken with my mobile while walking.

END OF THE DAY

Throughout the day, I did a little touch-up around my T-zone.
I like how natural it looks.
And it stayed looking fresh until I removed it.
Except my T-zone, rest of my face looks pretty matte.

I was quite a tiring day as prepping started at about 2pm that day. But catching up with the fine ladies was fantastic – best Friday in a long time.

Currently putting together my review of this foundation, stay tuned for more details.

But if you need to know, overall, I like this foundation – great for every day wear and for those with combination skin types. If you have oily skin, I reckon you may need a mattifying primer underneath. I think this foundation will be ideal for those with normal skin.

Thank you for looking.

  1. oh my goodness both you and sophia together! that’s great! you both look gorgeous as always. mat miracle looks miraculous.

  2. What a wonderful day with your sister! You both look so pretty at the Rosebud Cafe. I love the china with the rosebuds, very ladylike, just what I like. I must know what magenta lipstick you are wearing and what your sister is wearing on her lips and cheeks. She has such a pretty peach color on both. Can you ask her and let me know? Thanks, and very fun post!

    • Hi dear,
Why not? It contains very minimum SPF so I reckon it won’t produce flash backs =)
Give it a try before the shoot, just to make sure you are comfortable with the shade, formula and coverage!!
Are you doing your own makeup?

  3. I bought the Teint Idole Ultra 24H and received it just 2 weeks before Mat Miracle came out. And after seeing your part review, I believe the formula is more or less the same. I have combination skin and my t-zone was shining thru after about 3 to 4 hours of wear, without primer. I had better results with Hourglass Immaculate.

  4. Hi, Joey 🙂 glad to find your review bout mat miracle.. i was wondering bout your skin tone…can u tell me?
i’m nc20 with neutral undertone and looking for the perfect shade..does o-02 will match my skin tone as well?

    • Hi Lee,
I am about NC20-25 if I am not wrong, haven’t used a MAC foundation in years..
My gut feeling is, it will match your skin tone but it’s BEST if you can get matched over the counter!!
It will be much more accurate =)
      Happy Sunday xx
