Exactly one week ago, Mak and I went on a dinner date on my birthday, he even opened the car door for me – that’s really sweet because he never does that.

We have always been talking about having dinner at The White Rabbit. Initially, the plan was to dine during our anniversary last year but sadly, the restaurant was having a closed-door event – so we couldn’t. Finally, we are visiting this awesome place.

The last time I was there, was probably 4 years ago and the menu has changed a little.

Little details of the night.

Ambient of the restaurant is exactly how I remembered, although I have a feeling they have re-upholstered their leather seats. Services are still top-notch and the food is nothing but delish.

Snapping a few photos before the food arrives. I honestly love the base products I picked for that evening – they photographs so well.

For the two of us, we ordered a started Classic Lobster Bisque with half Maine lobster, tarragon and brandy, our mains – Pan-Roasted Pigeon with butternut purée, grilled king oyster mushroom and natural jus and Tagliatelle with Alaskan king crab, pork broth and kombu.

A side dish of Truffled Mashed Potatoes.

After dinner, we had a pot of French Rose tea – specially harvested organic French rose buds provide a natural floral taste and aroma. A lovely, light tea that is traditionally used to calm body and mind.

It’s the purest rose tea I have ever had. The aroma smells just like my Jo Malone Red Roses Cologne.

And the kitchen prepared Baked Alaska with vanilla ice cream cake and toasted meringue for me.

I went for a very simple look that evening and I love the outcome. Radiant, glowy complexion (thanks to both the Clé de Peau BEAUTÉ Brightening bases), merely anything on the eyes, slightly sculpted cheeks with natural glossy lip hue.

I actually wanted to go for a deep red but I gave Mak an option, dark or light, he chose light and so light it is.

It was a very beautiful evening with good food and the man I love.

I feel very blessed and warm on this occasion – this birthday is indeed very special to me, I am now engaged. Oh my, it’s a completely different status and phase in our relationship. Thank you for everything my dear, dear fiancé. I am so lucky to have him in my life.
