Jewel-tone blues, greens, teals and violets seem to be the trend lately. We have seen some gorgeous ones from Chanel and Dior this Summer, and now it’s time for YSL.

YSL La Lacquer COUTURE in 103 Bleu Cosmique is part of their Saharienne Heat Collection For Summer 2013. Accordingly to Makeup Stash, this particular shade is Asian Exclusive. I would love to showcase this beautiful shade in this post together with a few swatches.

I have not personally checked on its availability but fingers crossed that it’s still available when this post is up.

103 Bleu Cosmique is a blackened jewel-tone teal blue laced with iridescent aqua shimmers and a purple accent. In certain angles, you will be able to see the purple hue peeping through the corners but I have trouble capturing it on camera.

You would just have to take my words, this hue is complex and beautiful from all angles.

Texture of 103 Bleu Cosmique is smooth and easy to apply. I experienced no problems in application at all. However, shades like such (metallic finish), try to apply in one direction – this will minimize streaking and unevenness.

Two coats are sufficient to provide an opaque finish. For blue and teal lovers, check it out, I think you will like it.

This shade doesn’t immediately spell Summer to me, in fact I would think it’s more of a Fall shade due to its “mysteriousness”. But nonetheless, it’s a beautifully complex shade worth a look. I love both the hue and its quality.

Thank you for looking.
