Hello everyone, I would like to showcase a few items from Dior Summer 2013 with you — very late because their Fall 2013 have already hit the stores. I took some of these pictures some time back but never had the time and chance to post them — and I thought these pictures should not go to waste thus this entry.
I have included swatches and some thoughts on each of the products except the nail duo as I will have a separate entry on them coming up shortly.
Dior 5 Couleurs Couture Colour Eyeshadow Palette In 434 Peacock
First up, the eyeshadow palette. Love the gorgeous mix of green and the teal is simply too gorgeous to miss — to be honest, I wouldn’t have purchased this palette if not the teal. Summer is always a season for greens, blues and teals and the teal (again) in this palette brings all the colours together.
Wouldn’t have been the same without it.
Textures are silky soft, colours are well pigmented and the finishes are a mix of satin, frost and shimmer. The duo-tone sheen of the last two shades are breathtaking. Overall, not the most conventional colour combination for an every day look but definitely a keeper for its fresh and dynamic hues.
Dior 1 Couleur Eye Gloss In 370 Outremer & 450 Bamboo
First launched during Summer 2012 — I fell in love with them. Previously reviewed 560 Tan and 750 Sunset HERE and have mentioned them in my Best Of 2012 – Beauty Edition [Top 100 Picks] post as one of my favourite Cream Eyeshadows, and also listed in My 5 All Time Favourites For June 2012.
Need I say more? Both these shades are also love. I have done a look featuring Tan and Sunset before and you can find it here.
Between the two, I would say 370 Outremer is the winner simply because 450 Bamboo looks somewhat similar (on the lids) to Chanel Illusion D’Ombre in 87 Riviére (reviewed here).
370 Outremer is the darkest hue amongst the four Dior eye glosses I own — for this shade, I use it differently, more daringly so to speak. Instead of applying over on the inner corners of my eyes or center of my lids, I use it either as a base or all over my lids over a dark matte eyeshadow shade.
Depending on the shade of eyeshadow you choose as a base, the outcome can be rather mysterious.
Diorskin Nude Tan Paradise Duo Iridescent Blush & Bronzing Powder In 001 Pink Glow*
Lastly, the Diorskin Nude Tan Paradise Duo — similar in packaging and design as their Dior Diorskin Nude Tan Healthy Glow Enhancing Powder released last Summer. I have previously reviewed 001 Aurora and 003 Zenith in this post (including a step-by-step tutorial on how I use them).
This duo comes in real handy — the bronzer sides help warm up my complexion and contour my cheeks and the blush shade gives me a healthy glow.
Texture is silky and smooth, they are very well pigmented too. Sadly, the other duo, Coral Glow wasn’t released in Singapore — would have added that to my collection as well.

Pardon my very tan arm in the swatches above. What are your Dior Summer picks?
Thank you for looking.
Really pretty colors. Wish you’d shown us the final result on your face! I’ll bet you are gorgeous in these colors, especially while tan after your honeymoon!
