For almost three and a half decades, the Clarins brand name has been synonymous with top quality Extra-Firming Creams whose unique efficacy is ideally suited for anti-ageing needs.

Since first pioneering a cream that ‘turned back time’ by firming female skin and minimizing the appearance of wrinkles in 1978, we have been responsible for many other skincare ‘firsts’. In addition to a cream that enriched dry complexions in 1983, our key breakthroughs include our 1993 introduction of a cream with a light-activated immediate lifting effect.

BUILDING THE MULTI-LINKS FOR STRENGTHENED FIRMNESS

In collaboration with the ethnopharmacologist Jean-Pierre Nicolas, Clarins Research has selected 2 plant extracts with complementary properties that reinforce the links between;-

• collagen fibres,
• elastics fibres, and
• connections across fibres and cells

These extracts are obtained from green banana and lemon thyme and are currently subjects to 4 Patent applications (FR). They maintain skin structure* to avoid face sagging and loss of elasticity due to ageing.
