This Fall, Dior is definitely the winner in my heart — their new releases are stunning in every way. Not to mention their cream blushers from their Summer Mix Collection Été 2013, which I truly enjoy using.

Back to their Mystic Metallics Makeup Collection For Fall 2013, Dior released two eyeshadow palettes, 864 Constellation and 384 Bonne Étoile, both are so gorgeous and well made. Trust me, I had the hardest time picking but somehow, I had my eyes on 384 Bonne Étoile once I saw this collection surfaced online.

And so, 384 Bonne Étoile it is. Seeing how this beauty excels in performance, I am very tempted with the other but I hardly wear purples, should I? Guess I shall see if DFS still stocks them when I travel next (fingers crossed).

Dior 5 Couleurs Mystic Metallics Eyeshadow Palette in 384 Bonne Étoile is limited edition. Retails at S$98 for a total of 6g of product, made in France.

384 Bonne Étoile houses five stunning hues of varies textures and finishes.

1. glittery dark olive-green with bronze sparkles
2. metallic silvery taupe
3. frosty mint green
4. metallic teal with multi-coloured glitters
5. glittery duo-chrome mid-tone brown

With the colours looking all rather dusty, murky and dirty — you won’t imagine it’s versatile, great for both day and night looks but it is. The unique thing about Dior quints is, you don’t have to use all the shades. You can mix and match the shades and each Dior quint is designed to work diagonally and horizontally.

Or however you want.

Try the following colour combinations, I have personally tried and love them;-

• (1) main lid colour + (2) inner corners of the eyes + (5) outer corners of the eyes for definition
• (3) center of the lids + (4) main lid colour + (5) lower lash line

Texture is soft but leans a little on the dry side yet nothing too powdery. Good colour payoff. However, without a primer, I experienced some fall outs during application.

I am deeply in love with the shades, they are somewhat unique and each of the darker shades will work on its own. I particularly love the teal and brown, I have used them individually on their own as well as pairing them together. Each has a soft metallic sheen which I adore. In certain lighting and angle, the shades make my eyes look more three-dimensional (I am sure you know what I mean, depth and definition).
