Lancôme Rouge In Love In 391 Fiery Attitude

Lancôme’s newest addition to their range of lipsticks – Rouge In Love. These lipsticks feature intense colour payoff and a 6 hour wear which feels featherlight.

Available in 21 shades, in 3 moods. Jolis Matins – fresh shades for daytime wear, marked with letter “M” in the shade number, Boudoir Time – pop shades for cocktail hour, marked with “B” and Tonight is My Night – intense shades for magical nights, marked with “N”.

My pick? You guessed it right, Fiery Attitude is categorized under Tonight is My Night and it is described as a deep berry wine. Let’s kick start with some details extracted from Lancôme’s website.

Benefits

  • Comfortable, ultra light texture that feels like a second skin
  • Up to 6 hours of wear
  • Smooth and soft lips, thanks to nourishing and repairing oils
  • Medium to full coverage provide high color pay off with long-lasting shine

Technology

  • Long wear color from new generation polymer
  • Oil concentrated deposit on lips maintains comfort of a balm
  • Shiny silicon creates brilliance of a gloss

Rouge In Love is encased in a somewhat brushed metal shell with fine details like the debossed Lancôme logo on the top, Rouge In Love label on the front, red embossed stitching details running down the back and an almost vintage looking base.

Everything little detail is very well put together, looking ever so chic. Best of all, no visible finger print marks.

The formula is lightly scented and applies very smoothly onto the lips. Colour is pigmented and spreads evenly – you can easily achieve full coverage with two layers. For a sheerer application, I suggest applying a lip balm prior to applying the lipstick directly from the bullet. For me, I use a lip brush for a fuller definition.

Fiery Attitude is a deep berry wine with more plum than Dior Fantastic Plum (reviewed here and featured here). When swatched together with rest of the berry lip colour, Fiery Attitude appears more plum. MAC Dark Deed and MAC Nightmoth seems a lot deeper and burnt.

Chanel La Sensuelle, Shiseido Venus and NARS Damned are more red and rosy.

Lancôme Rouge In Love in 391 Fiery Attitude has a soft glossy finish similar to that off Shiseido Shimmering Rouge (reviewed here) but texture is less creamy – Shiseido Shimmering Rouge are softer and glossier.

Maybe because I have picked a darker hue, this shade seem to stay and lived up to its claim – for 6 hours, eating and drinking. It left a stain on my lips which still looks good. It’s not drying and it doesn’t emphasize my dry lips either – a major plus.

With this, I am able to pull off deep, dark lips without worries of lips being dry, dry skin showing or colour clinging onto them. I say, worth a look when Rouge In Love set foot in Singapore.

Thank you for looking, hope this post helped.

  1. Joey you look great in plummy lip colours too, so envious. I like the casing for Rouge In Love, can’t wait to see them in person.

  2. I really love this shade on you! I tried one of them in store, but the shade was not flattering and it tugged on my dry lips…perhaps I will have to give it another go.
