SOHO — one of Manhattan’s trendiest neighborhoods — inspires a decidedly modern palette of nudes and pinks, as well as cult-worthy steel-greys.
I am glad I had S$262 spare cash in my wallet today as SOHO de Chanel Collection was totally uncalled for. I remember seeing images, reviews and swatches of this collection on several blogs, fell in love with a few products (this is a tiny collection) but never thought much of it as I didn’t expect to see any of these coming into Singapore.
Thought it’s suppose to be exclusive for the reopening of the Chanel Boutique in SOHO?
But I saw some of the products being featured in local magazines. So, I asked the Chanel counter. To my surprise, it’s available in Singapore. Yeah. I was told that this collection was launched on the 1st October, today is the 5th and while I was driving over to Takashimaya, I kept thinking if the items I wanted have already been sold out.
I got everything in my list which includes the following.
SOHO de Chanel Highlighting Powder and Blush (S$100). This blush and powder palette consists of light plum, pink-ivory and soft pink shades for cheeks and face. It comes with an angled brush which makes it easier to pick up selected shades. For example, on the “white” shade for highlighting.
Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadow in Stupendous (S$83). It contains a light pink, beige-brown, deep-brown, and icy-blue. All four shades are pretty shimmery. I have always wanted a Chanel Quad – the American way, meaning, the square pans. In Asia, all Chanel Quads are in round pans.
And lastly, Rouge Coco Hydrating Creme Lip Colour in Stunning (S$44) and Le Vernis Nail Colour in Strong (S$35).
If you are interested in this collection, there are only available at Takashimaya and Paragon. Nothing has been sold out yet at Takashimaya when I bought these this afternoon. But since this entire collection is limited edition, get them soon to avoid disappointment.
Thank you for reading.
