Here are my picks from Shu Uemura Makeup Collection By WKW For Holiday 2011 released beginning of the month. Have you checked out the collection yet? For product details and prices, please click here. For swatches of the products, please click here.
Firstly, I got two sets of the Jeweled Love False Eyelashes – 1 to keep and 1 to use. I have always been in love with their Partial Soft Cross False Eyelashes (featured here) which I have used it in so many of my looks – I can’t even remember how many boxes I have gone through and I wonder how these compare. I am not the luckiest person when it comes to Shu Uemura False Eyelashes. Many of their seasonal releases look great but they don’t fit well on my lids. I hope these will fit well because I love the combination of maroon lashes with bronze jewels.
Next, I got myself another face powder for Christmas this year. When I saw the promotional pictures, I fell deeply in love with the Lustrous Glow Powder – it looks so glamorous. I love the gold wordings despite it’s a very thin over-spray which disappears within 1 swatch. Soft, delicate pink with gold shimmer houses in a gold casing – irresistible.
I received the Burning In Water Eye & Cheek Palette during the Press Event. I have very few blue palettes and if you ask me, I can only think of the Estée Lauder Blue Dahlia 5 Colour Eyeshadow Palette (featured here).
And lastly, I bought Rouge Unlimited in Pink Flush. I had a hard time deciding between the three but Glitter Fuse refused to show up on my lips and I figured I have quite a number of reds so, Pink Flush it is.
I can’t wait to play with them and I promise a look featuring these products once I have the time. I have just recovered from the nasty cough – lots of work to catch up before Christmas, please give me some time. Did you pick up anything from this collection?
Let me know if you would like to see individual reviews of the products.
Thank you for reading.
Please note that I received Burning In Water Eye & Cheek Palette and Glorious Masquerade Glittery Mascara during the Press Event. I purchased all the other products myself.
I can’t wait to see pics of your haul!
Can’t wait to play with the palette and create looks =)
The Burning in Water Eye and Cheek Palette is gorgeous! Looking forward to seeing it on you, Joey. I am very much interested with the WKW Dance in Glitter falsies, but it’s very expensive at US $75/pop.
Hi Pappetee,
Normally, only collectors purchase their premium lashes because they are so exclusive and expensive!!
Unlike you really can’t live without them..
Great buys Joey! I wish I had the time to go check them out. I hope they will be still around in a few weeks time. So now I’ll just settle and read about your fabulous buys. I love the blue palette and the lashes slot, I would love to see a blue look.
Got to be quick Jacqueline, they are limited edition but I reckon they have plenty of stock (fingers crossed)..
beautiful collection! can’t wait for your swatches on all, if possible ;). however, if i have to be specific, i’d love to see the lippie swatch.

I’m contemplating to get the pink lipstick. It looks beautiful. Is it pigmented? 🙂
Hi Sandy,
The lipstick has decent colour payoff but it depends on your natural lip colour..
I have quite pigmented lips and it works on me..

Hi Joey,
I’m having a hard time deciding between Shu Uemura’s Lustrous Glow Powder and Lancôme Golden Hat Illuminating Smooth Powder, so would like to find out which one do you prefer?
Hi Ashley,
I am testing Shu’s at the moment, let me get back to you.
Will post a review and compare!!
Hi Joey,
Will wait for your comparison. Just saw your look using Lancôme Golden Hat and i think you look great 🙂
Thanks for being such an inspiration!
Thank you for your patience Ashley!!
Comparison coming this weekend, waiting for the sun to shine..
