Items From NARS Spring 2013 & A Look At The Radiant Creamy Concealer

NARS Spring 2013 (1)

Good evening everyone, I finally had some time to take pictures of these NARS Spring 2013 beauties last week. I am sure many other blogs have gotten these items well covered – nonetheless, I will be sharing some initial thoughts and swatches of them in this entry too.

I had the opportunity to preview this collection before Chinese New Year last month and I must say, I am super impressed with this collection.

I am impressed with the quality and selection of colours. The colours and theme is fun and cheerful and NARS Spring 2013 consists of wearable pinks to bright and electrifying blue and green. The burnt orange eyeshadow is a major turn on for me as well as the blush.

All swatches taken under natural day light, without flash – on dry arm, without primer.

PERSIA Matte Eyeshadow

Excellent colour payoff – texture of this eyeshadow is on the dry side but it’s still nice and smooth when swatched. The colour seems to adhere evenly without being patchy.

MAD MAD WORLD Duo Eyeshadow*

This duo is crazy and yes, I think NARS has named it right – the colours are MAD MAD bright with excellent colour payoff as well, especially the blue.

NARS Spring 2013 (3)

SEDUCTION Blush

This blush is either a hit or miss – either you love it or you don’t. Its dirty and dusty plum shade may scare many away but to me, it’s a must-have – a great addition to my collection.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (1)

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer*

Many have raved about this product and I have not yet heard any negative comments. This concealer is rich and creamy – the pigments are dense and packed. I have only used it once and I am amazed with how little product is needed.

I don’t use much concealer on a day-to-day basis and I don’t have very bad dark circles to conceal. I enjoy using this concealer for spot concealing as well as under the eyes – it does a great job.

I think I may need Bouthan Duo Eyeshadow and Dressed To Kill Satin Lipstick in my life.

And speaking of lipstick, have you seen the new NARS Satin Lip Pencil? Oh my, I can’t wait to check them out once they are available in Singapore. Based on online swatches, I am much in love with Palais Royal, Golshan, Hyde Park, Yu and Rikugien.

Beautezine has amazing swatches of all 13 shades here. Which do you like?

Thank you for looking.

  1. I ordered the concealer and Lodhi. Can’t wait for them to turn up! The spring collection is very bold, but I think that’s why it doesn’t really speak to me (what am I supposed to do with a matte blue eyeshadow? LOL). Still. there’s no denying people with more artistic talent will have a great time with this collection!

    • Hi Sunny,
Great picks =) Can’t wait to hear your thoughts about the concealer and Lodhi!!
Yes, I agree with you that this collection is bold..
Oh dear, I think you will look great with a shocking blue or green eyeliner!!
      xx

  2. Hi Joey,
Do you know how NARS creamy concealer compared to Chanel Perfection Corrector concealer? The packaging is very similar and I wonder if they have similar coverage and consistency. I have Chanel Perfection Corrector and it makes me think again on whether I should get NARS concealer.
    Thanks dear 🙂

    • Hi Meryl,

I don’t have Chanel Perfection Corrector Concealer to compare..

From what I have, the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is;-
      – a lot lighter than Clinique Even Better Concealer
      – similar in terms of texture and consistency to Shiseido Natural Finish Cream Concealer
      – also similar in terms of texture and consistency to Chanel Le Blanc Whitening Concealer but has more coverage
      – lighter than Clinique All About Eyes Concealer
      – thicker than Diorskin NUDE Skin Perfecting Hydrating Concealer

      Hope I helped =)
