Chanel Poudre Lumière Nacrée Shimmer Glow Powder

Chanel Poudre Lumière Nacrée Shimmer Glow Powder - 1

For those who have been waiting, finally, I have the Chanel Poudre Lumière Nacrée Shimmer Glow Powder for you today.

This shimmering powder highlights the complexion, adding a fresh and radiant glow with an iridescent, satiny finish. It is ideal to use as a final touch at the end of your beauty ritual.

Thanks to its exclusive technology, the texture is extremely smooth, creamy and mild, making application delightful. The formula is highly concentrated in Glitter particles for a lustrous and shimmering gold effect. Poudre Lumière Nacrée is available in the Beige Rosé shade.

Above descriptions extracted from Chanel website.

In Singapore, this beauty retails at S$84 for 3.5g of product, made in Italy.

I believe this Shimmer Glow Powder will soon be replacing their existing Pearl Glow Powder – according to the BA. Both of them comes in a same packaging – Chanel’s standard Joues Contraste compact. Instead of the regular blush brush applicator, it comes with a dome shape sponge applicator – exactly the same as what you get for Pearl Glow Powder.

Another close up of the product for you.

This Shimmer Glow Powder features a much more refined embossed CHANEL logo as compacted to the Pearl Glow Powder, as you can see – isn’t it beautiful? And the contrasting, textured surface made the overall effect even more alluring.

Unlike the Pearl Glow Powder which is slightly more powdery, this number “melts” onto the skin like cream with very minimum powdery residue. The pigments seem to adhere onto my finger, brush or sponge (whatever I use to pick up with) and transfer neatly onto my face.

Texture is incredibly smooth and silky – zero grittiness. And a little is all you need for highlighting cheek bones and/or brow bones.

The beauty of this product goes beyond its amazing texture, the Beige Rosé shade as Chanel describes plays an important role too. On my skin tone, it blends in extremely well – it’s natural yet delicate. My features get enhanced softly without being over the top and the best part, one may not be able to pin point where exactly and how exactly.

Sounds amazing? I think it does, in fact, if you find the right highlighter for your skin tone, it can do wonders like this Shimmer Glow Powder does on me.

I pulled out a few highlighters to compare.

  1. Lancôme Blush Highlighter Illuminating Powder in Moonlight Rose
  2. Chanel Pearl Glow Powder
  3. Chanel Shimmer Glow Powder
  4. Chanel Ombres Tissées Iridescent Effects Eyes in Beiges

Texture wise, I think the Chanel Shimmer Glow Powder is close to Lancôme Moonlight Rose. Chanel Pearl Glow Powder is a tad too powdery and Chanel Beiges is in between.

Pearl Glow Powder contains more visible micro-shimmers whereas the shimmers in Shimmer Glow Powder are more sophisticated. As you can tell, its finishing is less dominant compared to Lancôme’s – the reflection is much softer and more natural.

It is a beauty. And I truly appreciate the effortless and gracious approach in this highlighter.

I would recommend the Chanel Poudre Lumière Nacrée Shimmer Glow Powder to anyone who is around my skin tone. If you walk pass Chanel, be sure you check it out.

Besides using it on my cheek bones and brow bones, this shade is also very versatile – I like to use it on my cupid’s bow too and very lightly dust it on my forehead and chin for that irresistible luminosity. It is indeed very flattering. I have used it on my friends too and they love it as much as I do.

If you like the Chanel Pearl Glow Powder, chances of you liking this is 50-50. You will love the texture but maybe not the colour because Pearl Glow Powder is more yellowish.

I hope this post helped some of you, have a wonderful day ahead.

Thank you for reading.
