Only 2 Items From Les Scintillances de Chanel Makeup Collection For Holiday 2011

Les Scintillances de Chanel Makeup Collection For Holiday 2011 made its appearance in Singapore last month and I recently picked up only 2 items from this collection. Initially, I wanted to purchase Lumiére Sculptée de Chanel Highlighting Powder and Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder in 47 Féérie as well but I figured I have quite a lot of face powder, so I gave them a miss.

Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadow in 417 Beige Lamé, retails at S$48 for 2g of product, made in France.

I fell in love with Beige Lamé immediately when I swatched it. The only reason why I didn’t purchase it right away is because of the many brown and neutral eyeshadows I already have in my collection. Throughout my trip to Perth, every now and then, I ask myself – do I need another neutral eyeshadow? And because Beige Lamé isn’t just another neutral eyeshadow, I bought it once I got back.

To be honest, I have not really encountered problems photographing neutral eyeshadows before and while I was taking pictures of Beige Lamé, I realised how unique it is. It took me quite a task to capture a proper shot – and even that, the pictures you see above doesn’t justify the complexity of the eyeshadow. The multi-colour sparkles are to die for, period. I love every bit of it.

The texture of Beige Lamé is soft and creamy, just like most of the others in range.

Lévres Scintillantes Glossimer in 297 Sweet Beige, retails at S$40 for 5.5g of product, made in France.

I guess you probably figured I am more of a lipstick person by now? I fell for Sweet Beige because of its opacity and shimmer – such a beauty. This shade is extremely wearable and I think looks great on most skin tones.

Don’t think I will be reviewing them individually but I will surely be doing a look featuring them once I am feeling better. What did you pick up from this collection?

Thank you for reading.
