PRADA UNVEILS L’EAU D’IRIS, EPHEMERAL EDITION

As tender and fresh as the first signs of spring, L’Eau d’Iris is an ephemeral edition in the Prada Infusion d’Iris family. Under the creative direction and inspiration of Miuccia Prada, the fragrance is blended by Daniela Andrier.

The Iris is at the heart of the Infusion d’Iris family. It launched with Infusion d’Iris Eau de Parfum in 2007, and has since unfolded into two new chapters: Infusion d’Iris Eau de Toilette in 2010, and Infusion d’Iris Eau de Parfum Absolue in 2012.

For Spring 2013, L’Eau d’Iris offers a tender and fresh new interpretation, soft yet present, transient yet unforgettable, like the Iris gardens of Tuscany. The fragrance is elegantly balanced with Moroccan Mint, Neroli, Pink Laurel, Lily of the Valley, Orange Blossom Absolute and White Musk.

L’Eau d’Iris re-imagines a little known phenomenon in the life of the Iris; a flower as elusive as it is iconic. In the hazy sunlight of the Iris gardens of Tuscany, once a year each spring, thousands of tiny Pink Laurel petals take to the sky, alighting upon the Iris blossoms like a tender pink veil.

It is a fleeting moment of refined sensorial pleasure, a harmonious natural spectacle in complex and unpredictable world.

THE INGREDIENTS

L’Eau d’Iris is a blend of exceptional quality ingredients, sourced to translate the tender freshness of an Iris garden in spring.

MOROCCAN MINT

This fresh green bouquet combining the sweet, aromatic facets of Mint illuminates L’Eau d’Iris.

NEROLI FROM TUNISIA

Distilled from the flower of the bitter orange tree, Neroli brings a sunny vitality and freshness to the fragrance.

PINK LAUREL

The tender floral heart of L’Eau d’Iris is the Pink Laurel. The note brings smoothness to the scent, with a hint of almond.

LILY OF THE VALLEY

A symbol of happiness and beauty, Lily of the Valley is one of the most delicate flowers in perfumery. The green floral impression brings a natural femininity to L’Eau d’Iris.

ORANGE BLOSSOM ABSOLUTE

Orange Blossom absolute gives the fragrance a glamorous edge, and a soft, intoxicating warmth.

WHITE MUSK

A sensual note of mellow complexity, Musk wraps itself around the other notes in the fragrance with a woody, velvety, vanilla effect.

IRIS

The sophisticated Iris note is present in its most powder-fresh and delicate form. A refined and multifaceted note, one of the most feminine in modern perfumery, it gives the impression of a floral springtime.

THE BOTTLE AND PACKAGING

The sweet-pink colour of L’Eau d’Iris flacon is as elegant and refined as it is gentle. Soft green floats up from the base of the glass, diffusing a subtle freshness throughout the bottle. On the presentation box the heritage crest, originally designed in 1919 by Miuccia Prada’s grandfather, sits slightly off-centre, in complementary pink.

White gardens of Iris, penned by illustrator Francois Berthoud, reach up and around the Prada-green box, literally enveloping it in the mysterious and universal appeal of the Iris gardens of Tuscany.
