MAC Peacocky Collection

PEACOCKY

We fetishize the exotic peacock as a symbol of extreme beauty, raging against everything simplistic. New Kissable Lipcolour combines full flash with creamy comfort. Mega Metal Shadow gleams like chrome – yet is creamy, crease-resistant, with vitamin-fortified flexibility. Dramatic doesn’t begin to begin to describe the girl who knows she’s Peacocky.

MAC Cosmetics

Have you taken a look at MAC’s newly launched collection called Peacocky? They are available at all MAC counters island wide and say hello to 5 Mega Metal Shadows and 5 Kissable Lipcolours I picked up, retails at S$38 and S$35 each, respectively. Am loving the texture, colour payoff, finishing and consistency of them all. My initial shopping list consist of 12 shadows, I kept it to just 5 – can someone give me a pat on my shoulder, please?

Anyway, here comes the amazing shadows. This collection features 15 new and limited edition Mega Metal Shadows. MAC describes them as “A colour-rich, light-reflecting gleam combined with a creamy application that invites blending, layering, shaping, while remaining crease-resistant. A brilliant choice for all those seeking the ultimate metallic finish.” These shadows are the size of the Cream Colour Bases, bigger than the usual eyeshadows MAC does. And I went for the more conventional shades rather than the brighter ones.

I swatched all the 15 shadows and these are the 5 which I can’t bare to part. There are Dalliance light champagne, Unflappable frosted black with purple pearl, Sexpectationsmetallic burgundy, Tweet Me gold bronze and Prance frosted mauve pearl. Not all of them as creamy, meaning, some of them feels more powdery. Out of these 5, I would say Dalliance and Prance have the most buttery and creamy texture.

This collection also consist of 12 Kissable Lipcolours which MAC describes as “Luscious in pay-off and application, Kissable Lipcolour applies with the smooth glide of a lip gloss, then finishes with the creamy pigment-rich look of a Lipstick. New Slimline vial complete with doe-foot applicator.” They are incredibly creamy and pigmented. Brilliantly smooth and glides on the lips seamlessly. They are not glossy, almost like a satin finish with a subtle sheen. Beautiful. Not to mention the universal range of hues they come in, bright red, hot pink and nude, plus a blue – for those we are daring enough I suppose.

Here are the 5 I walked away with, Strut Your Stuff bright true red, Scandeliciousblue fuchsia, Exxxhibitionistred toned coral, Flaunting It grey mauve and So Vain – muted dirty coral.

Are you liking this collection and what have you gotten yourself?
